I don't blame him to be honest. There is so much unrest at the club at the moment that signing a contract now you have no idea what position the club will be in next year. If things start too look up then I wouldn't be suprised to see him move elsewhere.

Interesting. There is no doubting his class and in the Top 14 and Europe his loss of explosiveness and pace won't matter so much as his cool head and accuracy in decision making and execution (something which Rm92 in particlular could've used of late). The question is will he manage to stay fit for a few games?

Foreign players don't seem to have massive fitness issues in the top 14.

Body wise they may play more games but there are lower fitness levels in domestic rugby so less intensity than TRC etc..., losing the international season will give him proper pre-seasons as well so he'll be able to better manage his loading off season.... It's actually probably going to do a lot for his ashtray battered body (look at Wilkinson once the pressure of England was of his shoulders).

Lets hope he does better than the last time with USAP, when he got injured almost straight away and never played again for them. As far as signing go this will be tremendous for Racing and of course everyone they play, he is still rated as No1 , 10 in the world and he is going to pull crowds at Racing which are honestly not brilliant.and every away match there will be added interest. Money is not everything but it seems as though it helps a little, especially in the TOP 14!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (thats a joke) good signing Racing!!!!!!
