Transfers Rumours

Surprised they want to keep him on after his last game, fans and manager seemed to have turned on him - unless they just mean he's contracted.....NOW, but he'll leave and join Falcons in October at the end of the Super League season

I think he'd be a good fit for Falcons tbh, on a 1yr deal (think a player with his skillset/strengths will see a pretty steep drop off once they hit the athletic age-related wall, but until that happens he's very handy)
Yeah that might make sense to be honest.

We are desperate for outside backs....

Telegraph suggesting we are looking at bringing back Will Haydon Wood and Trevor Davison next season ad they will both be out of contract. Id happily have big Trev Back...but no thanks to Haydon Wood. He couldnt get away quick enough when the money was flashed.

Totally agree, would love to see big Trev back, but I'd like to think we are looking at better quality players than WHW. I don't think the move to Exeter has worked or made him a better player.

Good experience to have in the squad and off the pitch but not sure how much he will bring on the pitch though. Brown was great at Tigers but I feel his durability was his biggest factor whereas Williams is on the other end of that
Yeah thats my thoughts aswell. Id rather just stick with what we have to be honest. Rumours we're watching a couple of guys from the other side of the world.

Good point tbf,
With all due respect to the position, I doubt a player who burst onto the scene as a free roaming/open carrying 8 is buzzing to move to lock
Depends on his ambitions. He’s not guaranteed a place in Quins’ best back row as a 6 or an 8 which doesn’t exactly help. It’s fair to say he’s looked better at test level than Dombrandt, but at club level, there’s no comparison. He isn’t shifting the skipper and at 6, Kenningham is an 8 out of 10 player week in week out who’d be an international himself if he wasn’t in a huge queue of top players.

I din’t like it to begin with but moving to lock is his best chance of becoming an undisputed starter and is also his best shot for England IMO too.

All good points, but in the context of the (unsubstantiated Ruck.co.uk) rumours it could explain a move - and those points would emphasise it, if he did want to play 8
There's going to be a few clubs looking for a starting 8 after this season

I could understand him going TBH, but I do feel that if he really went after the opportunity at lock it could work out very well. He might not be an elite jumper right now but he’s good with the potential to get better and his carrying would be a point of difference. No idea on his scrummaging technique but he has the power and weight to give him the raw materials. With the right input, he could be a good alternative to Martin and a good foil for our more athletic locks.

It'll be a much better option if he wants more England caps without warming the bench as a utility forward for 5 years
