Are there any current England internationals who hail from the north east that would love to go back? I can’t think of any but there must be some.
We're linked with everyone so take with a pinch of salt. But not sure why players wouldn't want to move here. We've had some of the best players of all time here and they loved the place.I mean Dimes has basically said he's been in touch with every England international
But I just don't see any moving
Yep. Marchant hasn’t overtly signalled his intent to come back to compete for the RWC squad but given his contract is up at the end of the season, I expect him to be a target for Newcastle (and other clubs). If he's bringing a potential England player back from France, I think it'll be Marchant - who seems much more open to enrerurn than Jacques, who seems to have gone native.
I'd love to see either of them back in the country though
To be fair, their model in other sports isn't typically to buy stars. They're much more into buying high potential players.Truth be told I don't want is raiding every international player and becoming the hated team. Neither do most Falcons / Red Bull fans.
Home grown is what we want most of all mixed with some international class. Hopefully Red Bull will do that... building gradually not buying a ***le.
But why break with tradition?Truth be told I don't want is raiding every international player and becoming the hated team. Neither do most Falcons / Red Bull fans.

Just be happy Willis doesn't have a French Granny. Would hate to see him run out in blue.If he's bringing a potential England player back from France, I think it'll be Marchant - who seems much more open to enrerurn than Jacques, who seems to have gone native.

Got a Geordie fiancée, so much more likely than Willis. If he's bringing a potential England player back from France, I think it'll be Marchant - who seems much more open to enrerurn than Jacques, who seems to have gone native.

Yeah, they do things gradually which I'm happy with.To be fair, their model in other sports isn't typically to buy stars. They're much more into buying high potential players.
Marchant is a top class player but he isn't a 'star' as such. If I were them, bringing in a couple of players at that level and then focusing on high potential academy recruits or players who need a chance to show what they can do as a starter would be my strategy.
looking at Red Bull's other sporting teams they're more likely to be disliked for 'poaching' youngsters than stars.
Ha, fair.If we poach a few youngsters however, well I'd take that as payback for years of our academy being raided...![]()
That's fair, but I'd still remind you of who the first club to go poaching wasIf we poach a few youngsters however, well I'd take that as payback for years of our academy being raided...![]()
And whom would that be?That's fair, but I'd still remind you of who the first club to go poaching was
Waghorn has probably played his way into a starting spot this season. Why would he leave?
