I mean Dimes has basically said he's been in touch with every England international

But I just don't see any moving
We're linked with everyone so take with a pinch of salt. But not sure why players wouldn't want to move here. We've had some of the best players of all time here and they loved the place.

Truth be told I don't want is raiding every international player and becoming the hated team. Neither do most Falcons / Red Bull fans.

Home grown is what we want most of all mixed with some international class. Hopefully Red Bull will do that... building gradually not buying a title.

If he's bringing a potential England player back from France, I think it'll be Marchant - who seems much more open to enrerurn than Jacques, who seems to have gone native.

I'd love to see either of them back in the country though
Yep. Marchant hasn’t overtly signalled his intent to come back to compete for the RWC squad but given his contract is up at the end of the season, I expect him to be a target for Newcastle (and other clubs).

Willis is a loss to English rugby because he is a fantastic player. However, he’s playing in a position where we have several top class options. I’d question whether we actually miss him all that much.

To be fair, their model in other sports isn't typically to buy stars. They're much more into buying high potential players.

Marchant is a top class player but he isn't a 'star' as such. If I were them, bringing in a couple of players at that level and then focusing on high potential academy recruits or players who need a chance to show what they can do as a starter would be my strategy.

looking at Red Bull’s other sporting teams they’re more likely to be disliked for ‘poaching’ youngsters than stars.

But why break with tradition?
Newcastle tradition that is, not RedBull

Just be happy Willis doesn't have a French Granny. Would hate to see him run out in blue.

Got a Geordie fiancée, so much more likely than Willis.

You have to think that part of the err... issue, with Newcastle is going to be the weather when you're trying to convince players (and their families) to relocate from the South of France, or even the South of England. Not everyone has the asbestos skin of a geordie bird to wear a boob toob and miniskirt at 2am on the 6th of January

Yeah, they do things gradually which I'm happy with.

Marchant would be something else. Class player. Jack Willis on the other hand, isn't coming to KP ..so we'll just shut that one down now.

If we poach a few youngsters however, well I'd take that as payback for years of our academy being raided... 😉

IDK I think Falcons main issue will be who is leading their playing g group
Is Dimes viewed as the long term future as a coach, and if not who?

But even when you look at the young players coming up who realistically though could you see moving?

At Tigers Carnduff and L.Chessum would be ones to watch but who knows the situation with their injuries and how Tigers are viewing them, Ilione a couple years ago would've been a target but he's prob going to overtake Reffell this season
Hall at Sarries?
Treacey at Bath maybe

If I was Dimes and had the full cap to spend I would put decent money to Benson and Waghorn at Quins as a combo
