I really wouldn't rate him at Standoff. He seems to do a pretty decent job at the back but can still be a bit flaky. A few of our Welsh members were pushing to see him in the squad for the AI's so he has come on quite a bit from where he was last season. Don't really know how he's been kicking tbh.

Kelleher would be a great signing but I can't see Dupuy been a 2nd fiddle,

Reports in French sources are that he has signed for Bayonne for two years and could be joined by two Toulouse teammates Dusautoir and Albacete. Both are in talks with the club.

No. Top of the Top 14, European champions and in good stead to make it out of their group. Selling an aging scrum half is hardly the end of the world.

No I know they're still a quality outfit. I meant in terms of before playing for Toulouse was a major plus in your career but now with money and emergence of Toulon Racing etc is that AWE about them gone slightly.

Think this is it now, some of the clubs have a shed of money and that is playing a factor. Although playing for Toulouse / Stade is where most players want to play.

Players while I know come from SH for big paydays should consider slightly lower offers to play for stade or Toulouse. Because money can't buy the experience and atmosphere these places offer

Kelly was also hopeful that a number of Irish-born players from other provinces and some overseas recruits should be confirmed as new signings in the next fortnight. Connacht are seeking to replace Ireland hooker Seán Cronin, outhalf/centre Ian Keatley and winger Fionn Carr, who have all indicated their desire to play Heineken Cup with either Leinster or Munster next season.

No names on new recruits are mentioned in this article but in a seperate opinion piece from the same paper, Gerry Thornley says players like "Dave Kearney and Paul O’Donohoe in Leinster, or Paddy Butler, Tommy O’Donnell, Dave Foley or Danny Barnes in Munster" could be targeted. Should we read between the lines and think those players are Galway bound?

I recall reading years ago that young Celtic men had to go Connacht and kill an opponent before they were considered a warrior** ..bit like what Munster and leinster are doing sending the younglings off for a year up there and let them prove themselves :p

**Been a long time since I have read anything like that so perhaps it was bullshit :/

Dinneen is a possibility but we have to consider that come world cup we will loose a few backs who will be squad players and then if injuries kick in then we will need a few kids to stay too

Ive heard that Leinster want him..............................

Speculation surrounding the future career path of the Ireland out-half continues to circulate with reports from Australia suggesting Berrick Barnes as a possible replacement at Leinster should Sexton succumb to his Gallic suitors.
There's no way I'd want to see Jonathan Sexton leave Leinster but if he did, Berrick Barnes is the ideal type of replacement. He's young yet has bags of experience, an established international and likes to play running rugby, a la Leinster.

Sexton won't leave Ireland. He will be earning same money here as he would abroad soon as he will be the lad getting the lucrative sponsor deals and all that.
Here he is a big fish in a relatively small pond.
In France he'd be a medium-big fish in an ocean as there is too many world class players there for him to be gettin big sponsor deal

I suspect the IRFU will pull out all the stops to ensure Sexton remains with Leinster. Also, if Leinster thought they were in danger of losing Sexton, they would have made Ian Keatley an offer he couldn't refuse. Why would he have signed for Munster to initially back up Ronan O'Gara when the Leinster 10 shirt was waiting for him?
