Transfers rumours

He's 108 KG for a centre. I've been looking at him for a while. would be another Rotherham exile returning to Ireland. I think he played much of his rugby in Rotherham at wing and he's on flying form with Mulchrone in London Irish. Bagged himself two tries last weekend. Seems to be mainly a 12 which is strange as we have Downey and Bohane there.
Also saw rumours of Earls to London Irish, bit they're most likely Agent mind games.

Just to clarify I Sheridan isn't signed yet and well Griffin (Connacht) is rumoured too but I know RP wants an IQ 13 and an NIQ like Luke McAllister that is a 12 but can play 10 too if needed. He has been contacted but think price is high. I expect Canterbury will be checked out though.

Michael Leitch (Toshiba Brave Lupus) => Western Force

Male Sau (Yamaha Jubilo) => Melbourne Rebels

We have five international Japanese Super Rugby this year!

Any rumors as to names on the second category. I would have thought both 10 and 12 would be fairly well covered with Keatley and Hanrahan at 10 and Downey, Dineen and Bohane at 12 with an option of shipping JJ out to 12.

Been honest I don't think there's any solid name just the type. JJ I think needs to be kept at 10 as we are short there and Keats is very poor this season. Borane still has long way to go and is injury prone and Dineen (for me anyways) is still just a Rabo player but I'd still be weary of him in a HEC must win game

The Rugby Paper suggests that Wasps have won the race to sign Priestland and that each of the following are practically done deals:

Bradly Davies ----> London Wasps
James Gaskell ----> London Wasps
Rhys Priestland ---> London Wasps

I can't see why wasps would want Gaskell and Davies with their resources in the back and second row!

Agree about Gaskell: Wasps are well stocked with a resurgent Haskell, Ashley Johnson in strong form, Sam Jones showing he's a future Wasps captain, Guy Thompson being a complete find at 7, Nathan Hughes a find at 8, Ed Jackson who may not have impressed overly but is seen by Dai as a reliable premiership player, and then also Rory Pitman who is just returning from injury and is a real beast of an 8.
What does Gaskell add? in the first place he is made to look better than he is because he has possibly the best prem flanker pairing alongside him, but there's also the fact that at 8 we have specialists in Hughes, Pitman and Jackson, whilst 8 was Ash's preferred position at the Cheetahs, Hask has experience there, and Sam Jones this season has played at 8 almost as often as anywhere else. Behind all these guys there's also Matt Everard.
If not to fit in at 8, then where? He's too lightweight to be a lock and would be far behind in that pecking order.

Davies however imo would be a great addition for any premiership club. There's also the liklihood that he would be a replacement for Tom Palmer, rumours suggesting that he's retiring or moving on.

It's a bit wishy-washy at the moment but definitely Fissler (of The Rugby Paper) - who tends to shoot from the hip when it comes to signing rumours but is quite a good source on the whole.
Although I think I've seen it being touted by others too...

He says he's either re-signing for Irish or he's off to Quins... slimmed down from LI, Quins or Wasps.
Would be very good for him I think.

Lorenzo Cittadini ---> London Wasps

This would be well good. Whilst Jake Cooper-Woolley has been a complete revelation, Will Taylor has not impressed, has not progressed, and right now does not look a premiership player. Phil Swainston has been unlucky with injuries but seemed to struggle more with the new scrum laws on first viewing.

With Bradley Davies and Cittadini they could have a relatively solid front five for the first time since the Shaw and Vickery years...

Steady lad... Why so serious?

It is pretty obvious that Wasps have been missing some prominent player at 4 and 3 since Shaw and Vickery retired. These guys are top class players being brought into the club

Front fives at wasps is a touchy subject I guess :p

Nah in seriousness you're right about the front row but as of last year I'd have said ours has been at least functional, and often much better. Swainston steadied the ship last year. Cooper-woolley has been excellent this year and got the better of some more experienced guys.

At lock theres a danger of overlooking the quality already there - Launchbury, Myall, Palmer nothing to be sniffed at. Davies adds another dimension to us but not an outright superior one, I would suggest
