I honestly don’t get why people waste their money on them.

Go to a proper display and see some decent ones.

Joy?

Thats like saying why would people have a BBQ, just go to a restaurant and eat high quality food!

Whats with the firework hate from everyone? Nothing better than getting friends and family around, drinks BBQ and set off some fun bang bangs at the end of the night.

And the trip to A&E to see if they can put your eye back in your head.

Drinking and fireworks???? What could possibly go wrong?

For my money the drone displays are better now anyway.

Not enough recent things for your edgelordiness that you have to trawl back weeks?

Who would have thought that someone who spends their time on here ******* people off would enjoy ******* his neighbours and their pets off just as much.

What the... that is a comment lol.

Love my neighbours, neither have pets whereas I have, infact the only other pet dog is Roger 5 doors up, and i dog sit and walk his beagle every now and then, I just dont see why everyone is against fireworks?

There is plenty of startegies to calm pets, infact my dog has more trouble on halloween with people knocking the door, should that be next?

Genuinely stunned the sentiment is thos hostile to harmless fireworks

More playing the idiot to try and provoke an argument

Thank you DH for bringing this thread back to people's attention, and hopefully getting a few more feedback forms in favour of banning excessively loud fireworks - despite your apparent "doesn't affect me, and therefore shouldn't affect anyone" attitude.
Good work

personal fireworks have been banned in aussie for decades, when we first moved over thought id miss them but in hindsight spending a small fortune on shitty ones in your back yard that are dangerous and freak your pets seems.....silly

you also hear the stories from ambo's of dreading guy fawkes or new years because of the unnecessary **** they'll see

professional displays you can just go and enjoy are much better IMO....and the drone shows you get now are lightyears away from the roman candle in your back yard

I love Animals, and I don't like seeing them distressed, but there is nothing like a good ol Boom Boom.

Fireworks these days are pretty meh, but Oxy Acetylene bombs etc are great fun. Nothing like a massive explosion to get your heart pumping
