I disagree with that, hes making 2 points:
1. She wasnt as popular or widely well known as Charlie Kirk
2. Republicans and their supporters werent demonising her specifically as a fascist daily, people werent protesting her going places, threatening her life, and she wasnt as ingrained in the culture war as Kirk was.
Its not contrarian to call you out when you make false examples, Dowd blamed Kirk for the shooting, and attacked free thought and speech as it leads to violence, while Kirk was fighting for his life (well at least in the publics view).
Had Gufeld said what he said here, and yes I disagree with him partly, as the news was breaking about the murders, and if he had called her a nobody, or used any issue she stood for as a reasoning for her death, I would agree with you...
You can complain about me countering you, but I only counter you when your wrong, I agree, and like some points you make, but when it comes to Trump and the culture war, you just dont have the ability to be rational it seems, like most here.
And for the record, of you and I, im willing to bet id go to bat for more of the 1200 or so who have lost their jobs so far, im the free speech advocate here.
I dont think Dowd deserved to lose his job, he said an insensitive thing at a sensitive time, he should have been reprimanded of course, but firing is too harsh, but then id say the same about Lucy Connolly.
