I probably disagree with about 90% of what Kirk says but at least I don’t doubt his views are his own so I appreciate that. Much in the same way I appreciate the people in that video. I’d much rather people own their views whether they be far right or not.

What an absolute **** format that jubilee thing is though.

I don’t mind Mehdi, I think he’s a bit of a propagandist and I’ve seen him be bad faith on occasion (most people on the internet have at some point to be fair) but what is the point putting him up against these imbeciles? I’d much rather see his views (or anyone’s) properly critiqued but we live in the Piers Morgan/Jubilee *insert any BS platform here age where it’s just about who can shout the loudest and make the biggest impression.

Yeah, I saw the Cambridge one recently, he got totally thrashed in the same sex relationship part and all he could come up with at the end was "it's wrong"

It's funny but it's published twice on YouTube, once by Kirk and once by the Cambridge Union.

TBH anything that will involve diametrically opposed views, particularly extreme ones, will descend into an absolute shitshow rapidly. The whole running to the chair thing was really stupid though. Any format can work if both sides approach in good faith whilst any format will fail if they don't.
