Of the top 10 news organisations, Fox was a Trump promoter, the other 9 went after him.
That's why I say Fox (are you considering Breitbart main stream media in 2015?) Were irrelevant.
Trump recognised he had no chance of campaigning in traditional media, so he used that to pivot to the Internet and claim victim hood by the elites. And he made a great argument of it.
It'll there was more professionalism and less hysteria in media, we dont see a president Trump IMO

Yeah I disagree. I think Trump needed Bannon from a strategy point of view as well as a media POV. He needed social conditions to be right, like you said, he needed a candidate like Hilary, he needed a ****** off disenfranchised voter base, he needed a incompetent left wing media (and incompetent left wing in general) he needed lots of things tbh.
I think we largely agree but just disagree that the right wing media didn’t play a role. I’m sure there’s some research that’s been done on this. I’ll have a look later.

Id agree with most of this, and I'd agree to an extent it was a perfect storm type scenario, but I'd credit Trumps strategy more than you would.
Like I said, 9 of the 10 top media outlets in the USA all followed Democrat rule and went after Trump, that's the big difference for me. I'd also add Fox were certainly on the laugh at Trump train early on, they only took him seriously after the primaries.

I mean it's technically not all corruption. Abuse of power, profiteering is probably closer to the mark and that's only the stuff we know about. I suspect there's a fair bit of insider trading going as he and his family rinse Joe Bloggs retail investors with pump and dumps and other stuff.Basically things that wouldn't be tolerated in most other western democracies. As one of them mentioned his base don't seem to care. Maybe we'll be seeing Eau de Starmer on Boots' shelves before Christmas.
