Kilmar Abrego Garcia could be released from criminal custody Friday. Here's what to know

What's the betting he gets nicked the moment he steps outside the gates?

Everything wrong with CNN is in the framing of that first paragraph.

Abrego isnt a Maryland man, hes an El Salvadorian man, who illegaly entered the USA and resides in Maryland, and has been there for 14 years.

He wasnt wrongly deported, he was deported due to an acknoqledged administration error.

Judges didnt turn down prosecutors requests to detain him, 1 promoted release with a caveat that prosecutiin could appeal, and 1 gave the prosecutors 30 days to make a better case. A third put limitations on ICE.

A judge didnt demand the government work to get him back, a judge ruled the government must 'facilitate' his return, and acknowledged they had no power for enforce return.

Trump deportation efforts arent unprecedented in the sense of numbers, Trumps 800 per day compares to Obamas 1k per day favourably. Its only unprecented in the noise, media attention and push back. You could consider the slight difference in tactics used also.

But you see how framing statements are just dishonest, theres no need for this, the truth framed in neutral way shows integrity.

This is much better:

Who'd want to visit the US now?
Hahahaha

Seriously? The story is, visa holders who break the law, or the specifics of their visa conditions are subject to deportation?

"revoked more than 6,000 student visas for overstays and violations of local, state and federal law, the vast majority of which were assault, driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs and support for terrorism."

"approximately 200 to 300 visas were revoked for terrorism-related issues"

Is breaking the law a deserved visa revokation?

Come on dude, I know your upped your efforts to keep this thread thinking how you want, but you have to post better articles than this lol

Jesus, for all of Carneys campaign tough talk, he hasn't half capitulated to Trump over and over. Defence spending up to 2%, then commited to 5%, border and immigration policy, ditching the digital tech tax, rejigging the G7 summit to avoid Trump sticking spots, even Iran and Palestine he is solid, but making warning noises only, and now Tarrifs seem to have worked a treat as they did on Starmer and Von der leyen.

I thought Carney was proper spoiling for a fight, seems the fighting spirit left him quick. Was this what Trump wanted when making anti Carney noise on the campaign trail?

Looks like the Deal maker and chief has struck a deal with Maxwell to keep his name out of any noncery allegations. That'll explain her mysterious prison transfer and no doubt early release.
Obvious next question that needs asking is why Bondi claimed to have the list on her desk if it apparently doesn't exist.

What I do find mad is that she can be just pardoned from being found guilty of sex trafficking. No new evidence, nothing exonerating her from wrong doing just that's it love you can go! Same with Bidens son and the January 6th rioters.

Does our Prime Minister or king have this power?

I think in the coming years there will be moves to curtail the power of a presidential pardon, or at least there should be. For a country to set on checks and balances at birth, it seems a pretty gaping hole in that philosophy.
