What TV Show's are you watching/looking forward to?

I was about to say that I've just downloaded all of Friday Night Lights to watch - looking forward to it!

It's interesting how loved GoT is. I really enjoy the books, but the tv show is pretty meh for me - still watchable, but mainly because I want to see how they turn the book into a tv show, not because I think it's really good.

Have most of the people on here who watch the shown read the books?
Couldn't get into the show, knowing what was about to happen killed it for me.

I don't really watch TV but Game of Thrones all day every day...

It's basically Porn with an incredible and moving storyline.

I've read them all. I think the show is really well done. ALL of the actors are perfectly acted, and it's all true to the books.

Some of the actors are a bit off, in my opinion. Obviously some of the actors HAVE to be older than they're supposed to be, or it'd be a bit weird. John and Robb are supposed to be 13 or 14, after all. I don't like how they made Catelyn older, and how they made the prince so incredibly unlikable from the start. In the books he's supposed to look amazing but have a crap personality, whereas in the show... Well... Show anyone a picture of him and they'll hate him :p

Others like Jamie are pretty close to perfect.

Also, Dany. Just Dany.

I'm killing Friday Night Lights atm. Gone through 40 episodes in less than 2 weeks. Best sports drama out there.

Breaking Bad and Game of Thrones are my two favourite current TV series, looking forward to them. Also the usual channel 4 programming - wrapping up Skins is going to be big, can't wait to see what they will do with young adults as opposed to teens. Misfits. This Is England '90.

New shows: HBO have some promising stuff on the way. American Gods (HBO's second high fantasy series), Masters of the Air (the successor to Band of Brothers and the Pacific), True Detective (a crime series, and HBO's track record in crime is The Sopranos, The Wire, Boardwalk Empire, Oz...) and hopefully they're still committed to adapting the Dark Tower.

If you're looking for a similar show to FNL, One Tree Hill is good. Bit less sports, bit more drama, but very addictive.

Right now I;m watching community and The Walking Dead, can't wait for Game of Thrones, I read the books first and have to agree that the show is brilliant the characters are mostly as I imagined them don't really mind that their older.

Just got on to FNL season 2. Why, oh why, did they have to make the hottest character on the programme a raging god botherer. Damn script writers

Struggled to watch Skins after the first two series, 3rd and 4th were ok I suppose, but after that I steered well clear of it! Though have noticed actors from the original cast keep popping up in big time films and TV Series now - Nicholas Hoult in Warm Bodies and Jack the Giantkiller, Joe Dempsie and Hannah Murray in Game of Thrones and of course Dev Patel in Slumdog Millionaire.
American Gods? Guessing that's based off the book of the same name? Very good read that!

Currently watching Californication and the Walking Dead, can;t wait for the new Game of Thrones too!

I enjoyed only the 2 first seasons of skins. Season 3-4 was a bit too extreme. altho I loved the soundtrack.

After reading this thread I have started watching Friday Night Lights. Not a fan of american football, but the film was good, and I'm enjoying the series. Got through 5 episodes yesterday alone...

Worth a look in then? I was thinking about it after reading stuff here too.

Has anyone caught the starting episodes of Revolution? What you think?

Watched the first two on tv and have watched the other 10 online. The premise is really good, the first episode was good but the next few were a bit underwhelming but felt it eventually did get a lot more interesting. Find it pretty watchable but not a must see for me. Really hate the character of Charlie sometimes but like Billy Burke (Miles) and Alan.
