What's your squad look like?

He was a bolter at best with little experience at international level.

Daly is surprisingly in good form and brings experience. Smith has experience and is a classy player.

Might be worth him holidaying in Oz over the summer. Could always do with an extra midweek bench warmer just incase.

Jordan being picked would shut the door on Owen unless there are a freakish amount of injuries at 10/12. I like Marcus a lot but he had no form going into the Lions squad selection and would have had little cause to complain if he had been overlooked. Daly is also a bit fortunate IMO and probably got the nod because he doesn't cover Owen's positions who I fully expect to fly out at some point.

Jordan can consider himself very unlucky not to be picked given his superior versatility. He has decent gas and could even play on the wing.

And yet you consider fin smith to be experienced enough with only 2 more games.

Statistically Daly was the worst test player on the pitch in SA.

SA, 4 years ago? Right o. Like I said, Daly has been in good form this season and brings previous experience from lions tour.

Fair point about Fin. But he’s currently first pick for England, whilst Jordan isn’t a starter for Scotland (unless there are injuries)

In fairness to Jordan, that's not because of weaknesses or lack of skills, it's because Scotland have their strongest backline in decades and still have the likes of Steyn, Rowe, Hastings and McDowall all waiting in the wings, at the moment there's pretty fierce competition there.

As a utility player Jordan has certainly put himself front and centre. He can fit in places m smith can't.

M Smith is a 10 that can play full back, Jordan is full back, who can play 10. I’m glad Farrell is in charge of selection, as 10 is more important than 15

You must have missed all the Scotland games then in the six nations where he started as inside centre except against Italy when replace McDowell at, you've guessed it, inside centre.

Come on, give it up lads. No one cares about Tom Jordan.

This will likely come back to bite me after our customary SF loss next week.
Tbf we’re arguing about who gets to put 40 on the Fanny Bay firefighters XV of a Wednesday afternoon.

Why are you bringing centre position into this? You changed tact to M Smith from Daly, and he’s primarily there to cover 10.

You must have missed the part in brackets too. Jordan would not have started centre if Tui was fit.

The difference is, Jordan is excellent over 3 positions while M Smith is a poor fullback.

Jordan is unproven at international level at 10, so calling him excellent in that position is a stretch.

The only Scot who should feel hard done by is Graham for not touring.

I thought we were arguing between Daly (who can play 15,14,13,11 and has covered 12), vs Jordan who is a 15,10,12. Not really a like for like comparison.

But let’s switch tactics to main about Marcus then, who is third choice 10 for the lions.

Right.

You quite plainly stated "Jordan is full back, who can play 10". He isn't, he's a fly half/centre who can also play full back, more versatility than Smith.

As regards brackets, ifs and buts mean nothing.
