Your 30-man RWC squad

Panadol is gay.

Take Mils as the specialist fullback and IF he does get injured, put Evans/Howlett/Sivivatu/Toeava there. They're all capable.

If Panadol is playing in the semifinal or final we will definately lose the world cup and you can put your house on that!!!!

Voila !!

well my english squad is probaly a lot different to others and a bit bristol biased as most ive talked to would start some that i choose :p

1-Andrew sheridan/matt stevens
2-Mark regan
3-Vickery/Stevens
chose it like this as i rate regan higher then chuter and i dont feel vickery has been performing well enough to start and would be nice to see a fit sheridan and stevens front row

4-Shaw
5-Palmer
Absolute awesome 2nd row partnership for wasps

6-Moody
7-Rees
8-DWS/haskel
if DWS is fit obviously just hope he can perform at international level if not haskel who has been superb for wasps

9-Perry
10-Wilkinson ©
wilkinson as experience is needed and when he finds his form will be a superb choice, perry as his passing and kicking game has been brilliant and i dont feel people should pass him up on a selection of last 5 minutes when england are 30 odd points down

12-Farrel
13-Tait
Farrel i just hope can perform other wise id pick flood, Tait isnt as weak as people seem to think and can use whatever space given to its full potential

11-Strettle
14-Simpson daniel
15-Morgan
Not the biggest back 3 but if all fit a talented back 3 if one is injured replace with lewsey or robinson

16-chuter
17-Crompton/stevens/vickery depending whos playing
18-Winters-superb for bristol this year
19-worsely or haskel depending on 8 spot
20-richards-spark that england could need in the 2nd half
21-flood-been a good player at newcastle filling in for wilko and been good at international level i reckon
22-Allen-would like to see him given another chance

Reserves:not to sure on front row as not really my place but id take a guess at lee mears, probaly vickery as i'd have a sheridan and stevens front row and kevin yates

2nd rows-borthwick or ben kay or alex brown, chris jones lost it with a speculative pass that set habana up quite nicely

backrow-lund, hazzel or forrester if fit

backs- Gommersal, lewsey, robinson or geraghty

people such as corry etc have been dropped as i know most of them give 100% every time at international level but i dont reckon corry and co cut it and besides most of this team could be contenders for the next world cup injury providing and yet have enough tallent to pose a real threat and with the experience to come in if needed.

robinson and lewsey not included in first 22 as i want to see the younger tallent given a chance :D most will disagree with my choices but hence why its MY 30

How come everyone I know rates Anthony Allen but Ashton thinks otherwise, preferring that washed up leaguie - Andy Whatchahisname.[/b]

2 reasons;

1. The RFU paid over the odds for Farrells brand name, so they force the coaches hand in picking the name rather then the player.

2. Ashton is a biased, Bath-to-the-bone arsehole (come to mention it, like every other England coach before him) who if given the choice (which he has), will never pick a Gloucester player.

Now I thought SA was going to have a tiff with England, but if it's truly with Teh_Mite's squad, we'll BREEEEEZE into the quarters. :p

as an australian looking at the all blacks. I think u guys all need to get over your love for luke mcalister. Yes hes awesome and has the biggest legs in history, but hes still getting better. Aaron mauger is in my opinion the bes tinside centre in world rugby for the past 3 or 4 years and he should be picked as startng 12. Allow mcalister to go of to europe for two years where he will be bored out of his brains, and pass time by squatting small villages and return to newzealand in a few years time to play no 12. but for now mauger should be starting

wat about the south african half back that they keep goin on about. I forget his name. but hes meant to be the best in the world. personally i like ur team, but that other guy du pree or something is he injured?

the queensland reds would probly loose to namibia.

do u guys have any chance if darcy or odriscoll gets injured. like there must be more then 2 centre sin the whole country

[/b]
mauger is defensively frail and is no where near his best mccalister isn't perfect but hes the best secondfive in the country.

I'll have to agree with the loose spelling and grammar of frederick on the last point. Mauger has the experience, and should play at 12 until McAllister can show us that he undoubtedly deserves the jersey. Better yet, the ABs have four practice games in their pool play... Henry will probably switch the two off to see which one's better. And on that point, Mauger seems a bit rattled when he realizes he's not "the guy" (I remember reading an article about this, but I don't remember who from).

Also, Francois Steyn (that halfback, who's playing wing/fullback for now) is far from the best in the world, but then again he's only 20. He's got a dyn-o-mite boot (60m drop goals against Australia), but his nerves and hands are still a bit suspect (gave away a try v. the ABs). But he's young, so he'll be fine in a couple years...

Fourie du Preez is good, but Ruan Pienaar has been starting and doing very well for the most part. And White loves Enrico Januarie... (shocking he's probably the only one that does)... so he's in the second spot. He could use a third one though. And the best part about Pienaar is that he's a great first five as well...

It is late and some choices are abit dogdey but im not sure who is fit but im happy with XV but they need ellis badly!

sorry guys about the lack of grammar. I'll be honest i was only posting so i could read the rugby 08 forums and didnt really care to much about whether or not it made sense. No the halfback i was talking about from south africa was not steyn. I mean Du preez i think, the australian commentators seem to rate him extremley highly and it seems odd that he isnt picked
