Resident doctors vote for strike action over pay offer. Current government stance not to renegotiate as they can't be anymore generous than they have been.
I expect the RCN will follow.

Honestly, I think this sums up the problem in the UK. Even if the economy does grow, the money mainly goes to private businesses and shareholders. Yes the government is right that there is no more money, but public workers are also right they deserve a fair pay rise. Maybe I'm wrong, but I think that the cost of running the country continually outstrip any increase in revenue the government makes. While cutting waste and inefficiency could help, it would only be a temporary solution as wealth continues to be consolidated in the hands of the few.Resident doctors vote for strike action over pay offer. Victims of Post Office scandal tell BBC of 'cruel and never-ending' compensation schemes
The scandal may have led to 13 suicides, the inquiry finds, as one sub-postmaster says "the full scale of the horror" is now known.www.bbc.co.uk
Compensation is all well and good but where is the justice? This was not by accident, someone knew about it and said nothing.
What's left to cut? While cutting waste and inefficiency could help, it would only be a temporary solution as wealth continues to be consolidated in the hands of the few.
The fact that this went on for so long someone knew something. I'd also say willful ignorance is no excuse either. Manslaughter is still a crime even if you didn't mean it. Those in charge ruined lives because they either intentionally knew the truth and did nothing or they intentionally ignored facts because they would cause a problem.Knew is a strong term and hard to prove. Israel defence minister plans to move Gaza's population to camp
Israel Katz tells Israeli media the so-called "humanitarian city" in Rafah will eventually house 2.1 million Palestinians.www.bbc.co.uk
I'm sure there's a word for theforcibleinvoluntarydisplacementmovement of populations from one location to another - I just can't quite think what it would be without implying some sort of war crime - which, of course, the "most moral army in the world" would never stoop to.
I'm also pretty sure there's generally another word that's used when you set up a camp, and concentrate a large number of enemies there and don't allow them to leave. I'm not sure it's a "humanitarian city" though. Again, I'm having difficulty in finding what word to use without implying something negative about the state of Israel.
FTR, of course, Hamas = bad

No, no, we can't imply anything negative about the state of Israel - that would be anti-Semitic after all.Concentration camp or Ghetto. There you go.

I personally wish they would explore the idea of moving people into Isreal and keeping them safe there. I don't know the area well enough but there must be somewhere inside Isreal that people can be moved to temporarily
Funny that it’s so unlikely?LMAOOOOOOOOOOOO
I’m talking about moving them into Isreal. It would alleviate the fear of Hamas shooting people for trying to flee, it solves the problem of Egypt and other countries not taking them and it would alleviate the understandable fears that ordinary Palestinians have that if they leave they won’t be allowed back.West Bank 2: electric boogaloo?
