Portugal vs Ireland

I know when the kids look like the game is going to be far too one sided, the ref calls it.

Is that an option here?

There is a big worry about tier 2 rugby for me especially finances

Fiji and Japan have managed to get themselves with the T1 group but I just don't see how the other teams can grow in this current setup

Watched the full game back, jaysus it was an absolute bloodbath. Their centre got badly hurt and I'm surprised he was the only one. If we're being honest that will only have harmed rugby in Portugal. Not a fixture the IRFU should be running again until Portugal have improved again, if Portugal want a game they can play the provinces A teams or our 20s.

Our players did their job and the attitude was good, but not a huge amount more to be said. A few lads will have done their future selection chances a favour just by being in camp, but not by absolutely murdering semi-pros.

Anything to be said for getting the Churchill Cup up and running again?

Mannix came out and said they barely prepared, players were all on holiday and at weddings the weekend before.

I know they're an amateur union but this was a designated test week as was the week before. Crazy stuff.

Tier 1 u23s should tour tier 2 nations. Also just huge gap within tier 2.
