This is laughable, if this was framed sensibly, like Trumps grossness being extended and getting worse as he berates journalists, i think it would start to convice those who voted for him, but the hysterical 'hes saying it to wommmmmmeeeeeeen' faux outrage of 'mysogineeeeeeeeee' is a step too far, and allows the public to see the headline, and switch off and not even consider the story.

Stop pretending to be outraged, and just be calmly upset like a normal person!
His conduct is disgusting and he is a disgrace to the office. That’s not hyperbole. It’s accurate.

This is why I keep you blocked, you're such a ******* cretin. The fact you are happy to ignore this behaviour says a great deal about you. You're a disgrace Harry now grow the **** up and stop trying to be an edgy contrarian just for once.

Not to worry, Mr Nuance knows it all and being outraged and one of the most corrupt, destabilising and disgusting presidents to ever hold that office should apparently only elicit a reaction beyond being mildly miffed each and every time after a long string of crap behaviour. I wouldn't be surprised if Trump started resorting to physical violence that Harry would still try to excuse it.

Extra-judiscial murder of random Venezuelans in boats (and war-crime murder of any survivors - if justified as being a "war"), and threatening to literally invade the country, to stop drugs - whilst simultaneously pardoning a convicted drugs trafficker?

Its absolutely accurate!!!

When was the last president that didnt apply to?

The guy who was banging god knows how many girls in the oval office, the deporter in chief who drone bombed civilians like i eat smarties, or the buffoon who started an illegal war that killed god knows how many?

Literally agreed his actions are disgusting, as usual your just upset im not clenching my pearls hard enough for your liking!

Why do you keep doing this?

How many presidents called female reporters piggy or ugly or whatever? How many mocked disabled people in front of millions?

I don’t know why you’re bringing in drone strikes when we’re talking about moral character.

Ironically, though, if Trump wasn’t so devoid of any human decency and actually cared about the world and was an ideologue of some sort he would actually be more dangerous.

isnt honesty and compassion part of moral character, did Obama say out loud he was going to accept women and children were mere collateral damage in his drone program? Is it compassionate to do so?

Character is only as moral as the actions behind the words, ill be the first to make the claim Obama was a classy statesman, i, as im sure you and others were charmed by him, but when you put his actions into perspective, he was a monster in a nice suit with nice words and witty quips, as most presidents are (ill give Biden a pass on this, i dont think he was capable of being that ruthless).

I personally would prefer my monsters obvious, with a media machine criticising and investigating him constantly. What was it Hillary said, the media was 'swooning for him'. Thats a real danger!

Now we can call Trump an unscrupilous businesman, uncouth, repulsive even, but is his nasty words up there with illegal wars, drone bombing children, or splurging on the Resolute desk, ok maybe its as bad as having to wipe seaman off it hahaha

My point is, when Trump says rancid things, or when he does any of the 782 things hes done, criticising him for it is absolutely necesary, embelishing it to the Nth degree with ludicrous leaps in logic, and faux outrage has failed for 9 years, why continue with it?

I’d prefer my leaders not to mock disabled people or call female reporters piggy and ugly. I would separate this kind of conduct to policy implementation in the ******* Middle East of all places. Jesus.

I agree with this. Id only make the small caveat, that if you had human decency you wouldnt get to office, Corbyn and Samders both stand out.

It reminds me of the old saying, West coast people are kind, but not nice, East coast are noce but not kind.

Im very much in the East coast camp, nice words mean nothing, outcomes mean everything!

So Trump is unique in terms of the presidency. He cares about nothing except himself. No other president has acted like this to the same degree. Not even close. Glad we can agree.

I would also prefer that noone committed crime, but alas we live on planet earth.

The disabled thing, another perfect example, Trump is on video making the same gestures previously, and mocks people relentlessly. Criticise him for his mannerisms, or how he talks and that he mocks, but clutching pearls because the target was disabled, chinese, or a woman isnt honest. And thats why all these contraversies are like water off a ducks back for him, and ignored by voters.

My whole point is to leave Trump and Trumpism on the side of the road and move on, but hes like teflon, and we are seeing others use these same strategies all over the world, Farage, Milea, Meloni...

We need to learn lessons and develop smarter ways to combat this, because getting upset, berating people just isnt doing it

I’ll criticise him for what I feel like. I’m a bit funny and get a bit annoyed when I see the most powerful person on the planet and leader of the free world mock disabled people.

Well its absolutely your right to get annoyed by it, feel your feelings. The people who matter, who get to vote disagree with you more than agree with you (currently).

I always voew these contraversies in the context of why do either side think differently, and how would a neutral be swayed by the arguments.

In this specific case, Trump was accused of mocking a disabled reporter by those who opposed him, while his fans made the case he was using a regular action he used to mock journalists and media people.

There are videos of him using the same actions, and Trump, the no nonsense happy to insult anyone also stated he didnt do so, i personally would have expected him to say 'yes i did so what?'.

So i would criticise him as being unthoughtful and probably crass when mocking a reporter, but i dont think he mocked his disability. The massive outrage therefore seems fake to me, and those who still believe it want to win more than they want to be accurate (id also say the same of his fans in other scenarios).

I dont play teams, i criticse Trump, and disagree with skme criticism, but im not trying to win anything, except a better more progeessive future for my children, which doesnt involve Trumpism

Sure, the man who has for his entire political career (and before more than likely) spent his whole time calling people names (most recently calling a woman piggy and ugly) wasn’t mocking his disability he was just making funny hand gestures and noises like a child would do when making fun of a disabled person. I’ve got 2 brother in laws with cerebral Paulsy and that is 1 million per cent a grown ass man imitating, in a derogatory way obviously, a person with a disability.

What’s more likely, Trump just made a noise and hand gesture that he intended to be funny and mock a disabled reporter he didn’t like or that he was just making a noise and hand gestures he used to mock all reporters? I mean come on, you can’t be serious. He didn’t do the same thing for piggy did he.

Again it’s just something absolutely despicable about the man’s character that you just refuse to acknowledge and say , you know what, this is disgusting and you never see any other president speaking or acting like this but happy for you to show me examples of that or show me the other times he’s made those noises and hand gestures to other reporters without disabilities.

Also, hilarious that you would expect Trump to come out and say “yeah I took the **** out of that disabled person so what” are you joking? It’s hard to tell.
