I'm looking forward to the draw now. The easiest group I reckon Leinster could draw would be Ospreys, Edinburgh and Aironi. That said I wouldn't want that pool. We want to have really competitive and enjoyable matches (and away trips). From that perspective I'd love Clermont (even though I've been it's a great trip), Gloucester (haven't been but heard great things) and Montpellier. That could be a cracking pool with some great away venues...

Bring on the draw, I don't think LI will be strong enough to fight for the Premiership and H-Cup this year

But to have any chance of going through we would need

The easiest possible pool:
Cardiff Blues / London Irish / Glasgow / Connacht

LI are only easy during winter just ask Munster and Ospreys. We can beat anyone on our day.

Why do you wish to get Connacht? They always raise their game for Irish provinces and the sportsground is one of the hardest places to travel to.

Connacht had a decent season but they've lost their most dynamic forward, only relatively experienced tighthead, top try scoring threat and best flyhalf by some distance to other provinces. None have been adequately replaced. I'd like to see them build on their performances of this season but think they'll take a big step back in 2011/12 and could wind up bottom of the Magners League. A top team could look to target getting 10 points from their two games with Connacht.

I know but still if a team has to go to the sportsground in the middle of Winter it will be tough.

If a team has aspirations of winning the Heineken Cup, playing Connacht away in winter won't bother them. Connacht lost at home to Leinster, Ospreys, Harlequins, Cardiff and Munster this season, drew with Ulster and scraped wins over Edinburgh, Aironi and Treviso. That's not indicative of a good home record. Losing their best players will only see results getting worse. I'd love to be wrong but I think Connacht are going backwards in a big way next season.

Never said they'd win but that it would be tough. I agree they're going backwards. At least they still have Muldoon and O'Conor. Apparently they're signing an international. They nearly got Benson Stanley but it fell through. I'm interested in seeing how Maguire gets on but apparently he's a complete pussy even though he's massive.

True, this concerns me too. At least we have Nikora to fill in at fly half (Quality). We've signed Reynecke and Vanikolo at hooker and wing, can't say I know a lot about them though. I would've loved if Connacht managed to get their hands on Mike Sherry as Sean Cronin's replacement, he's an awesome player.

Yep, two great players. Both massively underrated. Not being biased here but I think our backrow will be one of the strongest in the Magner's next year. Eoghan Grace is a super addition to the squad from Exeter, Ray Ofisa is your typical dose of classic Polynesian power, Eoin McKeon and Shane Conneely have buckets of potential and of course the legendary George Naoupu is making his return!

Wouldn't be so sure about Maguire being a dead cert in the starting XV next season, Rodney Ah You will be scrapping with him for the tighthead shirt. Ah You has been solid in the games I've seen him in.

It's a shame that Ian Madigan signed an extension on his contract imo, he would have been just the kind of player Connacht need. Capable, but in need of first team experience. I worry for them having Niall O'Connor at 10 next season.

Madigan would've been nice. I would've been delighted if we'd landed Steenson from Exeter. I'm not to concerned about 10 next season. As I mentioned above, I'm expecting Nikora to really step it up.
