Nobody would! (1st strike target though thanks to Westland/Leonardo)

A colleague went to do some work there last week I told him it was a shithole he didn't believe me. Agreed when he came back.
Yeovil is a dump to be fair but surrounding area is nice.

This guy popped up on my YouTube feed and I had forgotten all about him but used to be a very talked about figure while I was serving, he was apparently one of the chief culprits in Bloody Sunday, was convicted of armed robbery while serving in the British army and was responsible for the murder of British mercenaries in Angola. A really scary individual.

The next significant event was on 4 November. Meredith had established an ambush near a local dam, and more than 1,000 emus were spotted heading towards their position. This time, the gunners waited until the birds were in close proximity before opening fire.
Emus…. Faaaasands of ‘em.
Don’t fire till you see the whites of their eyes lads.

"The machine-gunners' dreams of point-blank fire into serried masses of Emus were soon dissipated. The Emu command had evidently ordered guerrilla tactics, and its unwieldy army soon split up into innumerable small units that made use of the military equipment uneconomic. A crestfallen field force therefore withdrew from the combat area after about a month."
