Reform are serious, just as Brexit was, we know why Brexit got through, it was si.ilar reasons as to why people keep turning to Trump, if Labour (as evidenced at their conference) run a Democrat style Farage man bad, itll guarentee him victory.

He is serious, he is a serious issue that needs to be dealt with, the culture of mocking, denigrating and villanising as shown on this thread wont help

I cant remember who floated the idea a few months ago, but its almost like the Tories knew the system was ******, and gave Labour a free hit at it, with a longer term plan of returning to 'fix Labours mess'

Interesting anti establishment selection from the Irish, or should i say the minority of the Irish who felt like they had to vote for someone.

Of a country of over 5 million, 3.5m registered voters, and a regular turnout of 55%, winning a big majority with 900k votes seems.... low.

46% turnout was bad, 6% of voters spoiled their vote on purpose.

I dont know much about Connolly except from what im told from Irish friends, that shes very much a current thing luvvy, climate change activist, believes Hamas should run Palestine, wants a unified Ireland etc but i havnt verified anything so dont want to judge her really, but then its pretty much a cermonial role isnt it

So theres a theory in right wing circles called 'noticing' they use the fact that minorities are over represented in adverts and TV, then identify trends like race switching scandanavian characters British historical chsracters, and mythological characters, along with the stupid things like googling 'happy white woman' and come to the conclusion that the powers that be want to erase white people...

And no amount of calling them racist, a term that means pretty much nothing at thos point, is going to help the problem thats growing throughout the west...

These sound like some pretty extreme circles to be honest. Maybe you have your finger on the right wing pulse better than me but this just sounds like standard "White Replacement Theory" ********. I wouldn't tar the majority of right leaning/right wing people with this brush.

You're probably right that it's growing, though. However, I'm not sure pandering to these kind of extreme views is the way to go. That doesn't mean to say that we should, as I said above, tar everyone who has concerns around immigration as racist white replacement theorists.
