A Political Thread pt. 2

Starmer's statement is definitely a barristers closing remarks, absolutely eviscerating to anyone who listens to the whole thing. Can tell he's been working on this speech for weeks.

Stupid commons rules at least Blackford had the balls to say Johnson has misled the house, unsure when you can say he has....

Blackford kicked out, a stunt but well worth making the point.

"Conservative back benchers need no reminding about how to dispose of a failing leader"

Yeah, not quite the zinger you think it is. Just admitting the last 2 Conservative leaders were failures...

Also bloody hell, have the Tories got a Trump fan in their midst?

Cameron could arguably be called successful he was re-elected then quit after ******* up the country but he wasn'tt forced out like May, Hague, IDS & Howard (still amazing what **** they drossed up against Blair)

Yes it can be both be utterly damning and condemned for not having the full detail you bloody idiot Johnson.

Just briefly glanced over the report. Definitely disappointed as there is almost zero detail in regards to specific events or people. Having said that only 4 didn't meet the threshold for a police investigation so that might be the reason why she can't name much detail.

Tbh reading it it's vague enough that he can sacrifice some high up officials and reorganise Downing street and say he's fixed the culture.

Johnson still refusing to commit to release the full report when available.
Yup that's what might hang him on backbenches and hasn't committed for backbencher. Diane Abbott of all people raising it but Harper follow up possibly more important from backbenchers thinking.

The speaker insisted Blackford add the word 'inadvertently' to his claim that Johnson misled the house. How does the speaker know it was inadvertent FFS? Does he even know what the word means. What a farce!

Johnson claiming that changes will need to be made in No.10 is like a criminal deciding on what his own sentence is.

Its just the rules you can't accuse someone of knowingly lying or misleading so you have to say the person was mistaken or something similar.

The speaker should be able to rule when things committed the house clearly show what happened.

Also part of the rules is that the PM should set the record straight if they did accidently mislead the house, Johnson has repeatedly refused to do this. He misled the house and the lying ******* is happy to drag the reputation of the whole country through the mud to cling to power.

Genuinely furious at people who voted this ******* in. You were told this is what he was like! Did you just not care or were you stupid enough to have the wool pulled over your eyes? Does it just take someone yelling "Brexit" loud enough to get you to follow whatever lying snake wants your vote!? We are looking almost as disgraceful as the USA did in the final days of Trump with the same motivation for electing them and both going out kicking and screaming dragging the whole country down with them, all because people wanted to get their petty little nationalist kick.

For **** sake.

Yeah the rules are absolute ass on this front, Bercow would of made him correct it by now.

This is probably the most 'quiet' condemnation I've heard over this form the backbenches, very much feels like they are testing the waters for I wasn't satisfied with the answer or were. Aaron Bell clearly very angry though he's the person the backbenches need to listen to.
