A Political Thread pt. 2

A new NI protocol to replace the brilliant one that replaced the brilliant one that replaced Mays one?

Jesus Christ, how many times can one man be allowed to **** it up and then demand to be trusted with it again?

"Yeah we signed the agreement, but we didn't think you were serious about it."

Honestly how long before people admit that maybe this is the fault of the ones who keep agreeing then changing their mind? There are two scenarios here. Either it was a bad deal rushed through and not properly scrutinised. In which case it is the U.K governments fault or the UK government knew what was going to happen and are trying to force the E.U to change it again, which again is the fault of the UK. How long can people continue to believe the 'evil EU' narrative when at every stage it is the UK government who wants to change the deal?

Awful, awful news about the stabbing at a constituency surgery today. Still unclear (at the moment) if it is just David who has been stabbed, but praying for everyone caught up in it.

Bloody hell.
Best of luck to him in his recovery, and to the cops/CPS in nailing the SOB perpetrator

Hopefully he anyone else attacked makes a full recovery. Must be punished to full extent of the law.

No idea what drives people to do those things. Whilst on pretty much every issue I disagree with him (except animal welfare) I would never wish actual physical harm for him or anybody else.

Terrible. RIP. Condolences to the family.

So second MP assassinated after Jo Cox.

Awful news. Quite a lot of vile stuff going on Twitter, blaming people before we know what happened.
Yup trying not to share most of it.

As if Rayners ehetroic had anything to do it with it take a lot lot more vile stuff to get someone to that point. Plus we don't know the facts of this case at all yet and what drove the guy to do it (apart from obviously being mentally ill).

Also people responding to condolences with just his voting record and saying "he wasn't a nice man". Like he deserved to die because he disagreed with you.

Yeah Rayner must feel like utter **** right now to be honest. She has nothing to do with it but thousands on the internet are wrongly blaming her.

Feel for everyone in parliament today. He was literally doing the most fundamentally decent job an MP can do, listening to people's woes and trying to fix them there and then. MPs will no doubt be second guessing doing that again for the next little while
