A Political Thread pt. 2

Another BS position.
Keeping in some name to appease people but he's been a disaster as commons leader (which was originally just to **** people off), I guess its all about trying to appear more professional. But after the 'not a complete clown' comments yesterday its hard to imagine how he brings professionalism when he isn't himself.

Just seen the new leader of the house is the guy in trouble for the musliminess comment that's still being investigated.

Just once I'd like this government to make the non **** decision.

Rees Mogg was sat next to BoJo shouting 'here here' after the Jimmy Saville slur in the Commons. After his insensitive Grenfell comments it's clear that he's also very partial to a gaff.

As do most of the tory party tbh
Oh yeah anti-Islam sentiment and the Tory party go hand in hand. Its just why promote a guy with an active investigation that the PM said he takes deadly seriously (when he was told 18 months ago and only just started an investigation). Like they are supposed to steadying the ship and nothing they are doing gives any indication thats what is happening.

I want them gone but I'd also like to see them make some semblance of not taking this as a joke.

Haha no I agree but I meant most of the Tory party wish they are taking not **** decisions too

Maybe they'd like to grow a spine and prove it? Until I see Johnson's leadership being officially challenged and him being removed, along with his cabal of corrupt morons, I'm not going to believe most of the Tory party want things to change.

I can't believe it the MP for Dover just said the traffic queue's in Kent aren't because of Brexit but because of Brussels red tape.

WHY DO YOU THINK THE RED TAPE EXISTS YOU DELLUDED MORON!

"Real people don't care about No 10 lockdown parties, says Commons leader Mark Spencer"

Getting pretty ****** off with the arrogance of these Tories thinking they can decide what people do and don't care about. You may not ******* care about integrity but some of us do. You don't get to decide that something should just be ignored because it's highly inconvenient for you and the fact they have repeatedly presented what Johnson wants as what the people of the country want is so arrogant, most people did NOT vote for Johnson.

They've always loved a bit of "other"ing.

Real people don't care about parties.
ergo we don't need to care about the other, because they're not REAL people.
also ergo, if you do care, then you're not a REAL person - and you don't want to be a not-real person do you?

It's one of the oldest tricks in the book - he knew exactly what he was doing, and he's done it because it works :(

The response to Amnesty International's report on the need to investigate the apartheid in Israel is interesting.

Our papers are running a lot on it which is no surprise as we are a very pro-Palestinian nation in general. To me it's blatantly obvious that pressure needs to be put on Israel to stop the horrendous oppression of the Palestinian people. I don't condone the terrorist actions of Hamas but equally, and unsurprisingly, I don't accept a government using their actions as an excuse to continue their over the top murder and oppression of a marginalised group.

My perception is that western countries are coming around to the idea of putting pressure on Israel, mindlessly throwing out accusations of anti-Semitism towards anyone who condemns the state are becoming less and less powerful. But it all needs to be accelerated, people are dying, living in fear and have a far lower quality of life than anyone deserves under a racist regime.

Doubt we'll ever see widespread Western condemnation because for a whole multitude of reasons the US are never going to do it.

Only way I can see that changing is if their own people got caught up in some atrocity.

The response on this side of the Irish sea has been deafening silence. Labour and the Tories stand shoulder to shoulder with apartheid supporters.

Check out this for some comedy gold from the Union Jack obsessed 'Sir' Keir who is on the record as having zero tolerance for any criticism of Zionism.

And as my caveat, I'd still rather be an Arab in Israel than an Arab in any other middle eastern dictatorship. It is getting a closer run thing these days mind thanks to the Keirs of this world.

Zero tolerance towards anti semitism...

Sadly for the left Zionism and pro-Palestine sentism are all dog whistles to people engaging in anti-semitism. Its left the room for practical debate almost useless in the left. Which is why Labour clean up some mistakes are going to be made in kicking out the actual anti-semites. Don't think Starmer decides every individual case hence appeals processes and what not.

Now of course it's use by Corbynites to pretend there wasn't a problem despite the fact Jewish people say there were.

In fact yout post is full of all those red flags.

I say this as person who fully supports a two states solution if both side can work out what to do about Jureselum but I don't think either side is willing to come to the table in the same way the Irish were in the 90's. Until they are it's a useless conversation having and as long as the USA back Israel wholeheartedly nothing is going to change any time soon.
