I haven’t seen the full clip so always hesitant to comment without knowing the full context but, yeah, given how this is probably the most corrupt government in history I’d say he has a very valid concern but good to see Cleverly very cleverly deflecting as the Tories do.

It's all well and good attacking large amounts of targets at once but if you don't get a foothold in them quickly then you are going to struggle to keep momentum. Already seen a few videos of Russians armoured trucks etc abandoned due to running out of fuel.

One town/city reportedly confirmed as lost in the south today (pop 45k), Melitopol in south (pop 150k) may also have fallen or af least is being hotly contested. Almost zero reporting on losses in main media outlets however. They just show the maps of expanding Russian territory without explaining what population centres have been lost. So major health warnings on this.

Russia has made a bit of a mess of the first few days and does appear to have taken significant loss, hence the apparent pause and change of tactics/ focus. But with limited offensive capacity Ukraine cannot punish these supply issues. I'd be asking the likes of Romania and Poland if they would be willing to host training camps and supply depots for the collection of tanks, helicopters and jets for uplift by Ukranian forces.

A 'no fly zone' is out of the question as it risks direct conflict with Russian forces, but there is much more that could be done to assist in terms of providing Ukraine with capacity for offensive firepower, without risking that direct fight between NATO and Russia. It needs to be happening now if we are not all just going to resign ourselves to a significantly expanded Russian footprint in eastern Europe.

Why so mad? In a world of internet where hackers in the know do this day in day out ? How else do you think they identified Salisbury poisoners?

What would happen if the Ukraine govt invited Western Air forces to destroy bridges that had Russian columns pass over them a day or two ago but have no Russians on them currently.

Not fighting Russians, but would be putting massive strain on their logistical chain.

Also, prob need to start getting geared up for supporting a guirella campaign across the Polish border. Far too long to secure. Wouldn't be hard for nato to do air drops in either.

I do like the idea of the international brigade - similar during the Spanish civil war. I'm sure there'll be more than a few folks out there with no dependents that are outraged enough to go help (non keyboard warriors).

Massive escalation, also got to show things aren't going the way Putin thought they would with Ukraine. Certainly not as easy as some might have thought.

I don't think they can risk a NATO bomber or missile striking a Russian unit by accident. It would be a declaration of war. The international brigade is a fine concept but, the only place they can operate is if you can smuggle them into cities as otherwise they'll just be fodder for the Russian airforce.

Germany now committing to at least the NATO minimum annual defence spend of 2% of budget and saying they will diversify their gas sourcing to bypass Russian supplies. They now appear fully willing to sacrifice themselves economically in order to stop propping up Russia and this will help provide a more unified response in the future (although I'm still sceptical they are fully on board with Swift).

Russia shot a Turkish warship by mistake and it did nothing. Reality is neither Nato or Russia want a full scale war.

A glimmer of hope. Zelensky should push for implementation of Minsk agreement plus Ukranian neutrality (but EU membership and potential militarisation). He does not have the cards to play to go further than that. Putin can sell that as a success.
