I am starting a new job later this month and was told in the interview they are looking for move to 60% in the office and rest at home. Before it was 50/50. Looks like more and more shifting back to the office and there's going to be a lot of resistance or unhappiness as a result.

I think the 3/2 split is happy medium. I know people prefer to work from home (unless its 30 degrees out) and they feel they can knuckle down and get work done better. But they rarely see the need for collaboration and walking with your colleagues in a non formal environment.

I'm on a more 4/1 split these days but thats mainly due to some advantages to work setup V my home one (if I had a home office this might be diffrent).

We are more hybrid. My team do a lot of site visits so are always in and out of the office.

It's amazing with hybrid working how big weekend events, the weather and day of the week impacts who's in. Now unfortunately known as the (T)uesday, (W)ednesday (A)nd (T)hursday's working.

Yeah, we're 3 WFH, 2 in office these days - it's a good balance IMO
Think we're going up to 4 WFH at the end of the year, which will save me a few quid on commuting and probably be an even better balance - do think there's still some benefit to in-office-days, though

For me 2 days from office per week it's already too much, I feel myself extremely tired after it and trying to avoid the 2nd day in the office as much as I can (last time my TL was literally teasing me that he'll bring a cake to the office so that I'd come ). The only 2 days I came with a pleasure and by my own will,were 2 days of free ice cream in the office

In this new role I don’t have much choice being a newbie. I was looking for a role closer to home before as I thought it would be good to walk or be able to cycle to work. But the roles just weren’t there or in places really difficult to get to that way.

I do think employees are looking for a lot more since Covid out of their work not just more pay. WFH can be beneficial. The technology is there, so why not use it? But employees have to win the trust of their employers that they are genuinely working and not ******* about at home. That I do get. Otherwise it’s easy for them to put software on their machines to monitor their work.

I'm in the office 100% of the time. Don't mind it tbh but my commute is 1 hour each way. 1 day from home would be nice, which I had at my last job (previously it was 2 days at home).

I've only ever worked 1 office job, I wanted to die after a month. Not for me.

I currently love my job, I spend more time on the road than id like, andnim offered to WFH whenever I want, but the reality is I dont. I also don't like to work from home.

There is enough cafes, and David Lloyds around the country to use as an office when I need to.
