A Political Thread pt. 2

Oh I'm more than happy when presented with the facts unfortunately you don't have a great track record when it comes to adding links that justify whatever point it is you're making.

Thays a weird apology/ acknowledgement of facts...

As always, denial is a big factor, but please, research the sources and tell me what part of my arse they came from!

Wow. Didn't know it was that bad. Are those government figures? Genuine question
I will just jump in as someone that travels from NZ/Aus to the UK petty regularly....those statement seem to be on "advice" pages rather than actual warnings...and there is a difference, asked around a few people and no one seemed to think London was any worse than its ever been (huge city with good bits and bad bits) and or with the same adjustment the whole world gets at the moment for being a dumpster fire

BBC News - North Koreans tell BBC they are being sent to work 'like slaves' in Russia

It's amazing how the North Korean regime maintains such cruelty to their own population but survives.

Sometimes the crueler you are the tighter your grip and the longer you can stay in power. In fact I’d imagine this is generally the case for most dictatorships.

The military control North Korea if you control the means to subjugate its not hard to suppress.

Gaining and keeping control of that apparatus is the hard bit. Especially the gaining.

Similar to Putin sending prisoners to the front line and then into the meat grinder. It's a highly effective deterrent to stop people protesting against him and then getting locked up.

Emma Monk just did any interview on LBC regarding the article on travel advisories. Most of it is lifted from the Met Police as travel advice or from the UK government's terrorism assessment.

She debunks most of it in detail on her site Monk Debunks

Most government advice I've found is over cautious

Look at the links and I'll watch the LBC article that is linked here... oh wait.

But look, let's take an LBC hosts debunking, and not, i dont know acknowledge the Australian Governemnt upgrading the warning level of the UK from 1 to 2, now issuing Monk is definately more reliable in Aus government warnings than the official government travel website hahaha

Infact let's have a look at the official standpoint on the UK:

'At level 2, there are more or higher risks than what you would typically find in a large Australian city. We're not saying 'don't go' to this location. But you should do your research and take extra precautions.

The level may reflect a weak law-and-order system, where violent crime is common. The destination may lack some key public services, such as a responsive police force.

In some cases, there may be a risk that the security environment could change with little warning. This level may also reflect a passing event, such as political unrest or a short-term increase in a location's domestic terrorism level.

If you travel to a location with an advice level of 2, it's your responsibility to follow all the advice for level 1, as well as the following.'

Ooooofff thats hard to read.

Look, if your not ok with the police using facial recognition software on every inch of soil in the UK your either a far right racist, far left terrorist or you hiding kiddy fiddlers...

Which is it?!?!?!
