Ulster scored three tries in a 19-9 Magners League win over Munster to move closer to securing qualification for next year's Heineken Cup competition.
Rob Dewey and Ryan Caldwell were the first-half try-scorers with Paddy Wallace converting both while Paul Warwick kicked a penalty for Munster.
Andrew Trimble added another touchdown in the second half with Warwick kicking two late consolation penalties.
Ulster now lie eight points ahead of bottom club Connacht in the standings.
Dewey charged through three tackles to cross the Munster line in the ninth minute, Wallace adding the points.
Warwick converted a penalty from in front of the posts after 13 minutes and was just off target with another attempt.
Wallace fed Caldwell, who bulldozed over the line in added time to extend Ulster's advantage and the fly-half again added the additional two points.
Caldwell was yellow-carded for a stamping offence four minutes into the second half, having been warned twice previously by referee Alan Lewis.
He did not return to the fray after his 10-minute sin-binning with Justin Harrison coming on as his replacement.
Trimble ran onto a Wallace pass and touched down for Ulster's third try on 61 minutes but this time Wallace was off-target with his conversion attempt.
Warwick converted straightforward penalties on 65 and 70 minutes to reduce his side's arrears.
Ulster coach Matt Williams:
"It is not often that Munster do not turn up, but they did not turn up on this occasion and we should have trounced them and earned a bonus point.
"We were hugely unprofessional at times and what we did at the lineout was unacceptable.
"We have still got a bit of a job to do with this young side, who have to learn to be professional.
"I thought we let ourselves down by our own standards. We wanted to play attractive rugby and when we did we looked ok, but our backs did not get enough quality ball."
