This man was a machine in 2005. It was his first real full season playing S12, he had just signed with the Bulls who had a fairly dismal Super 12 up untill 2005. These are some of his 2005 greatest moments. Some are for the Bulls, and some for the Boks. Enjoy...

Playing in his second game for the Bulls against the Brumbies

Against the Stormers towards the end of season... He wasn't going at full pace here because he wanted to toy with Tonderai Chavanga

Also against the Stormers. Not such a great try, but what Hugh Bladen(the commentator) says, sums up his 2005 season

Boks against France at PE. Habana scores an intercept try. He has become famous for these intercepts, and here is one of them

Against Aus in Aus. Habana is just too fast. Look how he outsprints the linesman

Same game. Habana terrorised the Aussies' mistakes

End of year tour to Wales. "The fastest man in World Rugby"

Best for last... Back to the Super 12. This was one of the greatest tries ever. Hanana in a superb individual try. If William Web Ellis were alive to see this, he would have died from a heart attack.

This is a tribute to one of the greatest seasons by any one player. I couldn't post all of his 2005 efforts, but these were just some of them. Thanks so www.sarugby.net for providing the public with these clips.

hey south africa have boatloads of talent..habana is a gem amongst them..too bad there politics suck worse than a prostitute with braces...eewww..hideous..

anyways south african bullshit politics > the contuniation of a crap south african rugby saga

fair and clean politics > the second best rugby playing nation in the world..hey im a kiwi..dont hate

yeah sivivatu and rokocoko's tries are way better.
[/b]

No offence but if you guys have nothing better to add than "sivivatu is better" than why not just go and make a sivivatu thread ?

Anyway, Habana was awesome in 2005, too bad he pretty much made a U turn in 2006. Don't get me wrong he still had some beauties but in comparison it was a drought.

just out curiousity i want to see him play sevens...and see how well he can do there..i reckon he would be awesome

Habana is a scooter rather than a gazelle....much in the mode of Robinson and Paulse. Which is why they have easily found out how to shut him down as he does not have the step that Robinson has or the brain that Paulse possesed. So the world players have seen his stuff before in Robinson and Paulse as well as Williams so it is easy to plan to defend him.

Habana needs to develop more skills than the heavy reliance on speed and the hopeful intercept.

ok how about, habanas full and real potential would be harnessed if he were playing for the ABs...

Especially since even Scott Hamilton was made to look halfway decent at International Level in the All BLacks
