Almost time to kick off. Who do you fancy?

It must feel like déjà vu for Juup Heynckes who was fired after lifting the Champions league trophy at Real Madrid in 1998 and while that is unlikely at Bayern, given the personalities that stroll through the corridors of power, it isn’t completely beyond the realm of possibility. The likelihood of hearing Donald Trumps trademark remark ‘you’re fired’ after winning the trophy is a problem both managers might not be particularly averse to having. After all, because of Bayern’s humiliating domestic cup final loss and the fact that they are playing in their own backyard, it’s probable that either manager’s job could depend on lifting ‘big ears.’

Home advantage would suggest Bayern but I fancy Chelsea to win. I must be one of the few football fans from over here to want them to win.

Bayern simply aren’t the best defensive side and if you can win the possession battle against them, you nullify their biggest asset which is attack. The catch 22 here is that if you try, press high up the pitch and fail to dominate Bayern, you leave yourself open and they will punish you like Madrid found out.

Sunderland boss Steve Bruce made an interesting tactical observation after his team had comprehensively beaten an on-form Chelsea side 3-1 at Stamford bridge last season,

All week, we thought that everybody who comes here just plays one striker. They’re so used to playing against it, and they’re so patient, that eventually they’ll break you down. So we thought, why not have a go?â€

Certainly a brave team selection by Di Matteo.

I never knew Sideshow Bob was a footballer, let alone a centre half.

BREAKING NEWS: Manuel Neuer forced to make a save

That saying has always bugged me... A guy isn't FORCED to do it, it's his choice...
He is a goalkeeper. There is no choice. Its his job.

I see Downing made the England squad. I think they should name a street in his honour, where all people who are **** at their jobs and got selected when no-one wants them should live. Hang on...

I see you like going on http://www.sickipedia.org/
Actually I am a member there. ACSpound is my user nick. Most of those jokes comes from twitter anyway.

What a boring CL final, its time they brought on the man inform, their top scorer, Fernando Torres.......

Chelski's luck has run out. Muller putting it away. 1 - 0 Bayern

And Drogba equalizing. 1-1. Repeat of 99?

What a game. Chelsea deserved winner. Bayern missed too many opportunities. Congrats

After zat, Schweinstager und Olic vill be in ze cooler.

Genuinely pleased for Chelsea, they've beaten Barcelona and Bayern in Munich. They deserve to win it.

I will not say they deserved it but rather than Bayern threw it away and like every team you need a bit of luck.. Miss chances, miss penalty, Robben hit the bar and Schweinsteiger of all people missing. Olic had the chance to win it as well but the moment was too big by the look of things. Chelsea's old guard did have the experience for a cool head in pressure situations and the 3 chances they had they took one. Drogba is a cup final specialist in a side defending deep and playing direct, and were up against Tymoshchuk, not a natural centre-back. There’s something brilliantly about Drogba’s game. Where Chelsea spent months trying to supply Torres with the intricate, clever through-balls, now they can just lump the ball in Drogba’s general direction and it paid off in the equalizer.

Great discipline in defense. Cole did not have a good game at all.

Bayern lost the game for failing to score a goal from one of their numerous opportunities tonight.

Had a feeling that Chelsea would steal a victory and they did.

"I will not say they deserved it" - what a **** thing to say. I absolutely detest Chelsea but I can say they deserved it. They beat Barcelona over two legs and Bayern IN MUNICH. Do me a favour you clown.

Looking at Chelsea's route from the groups, to being 3-1 down to Napoli going into the second leg, to almost being put out by Benfica, to the Barca fixtures to the game tonight with the missed pen, Bayern's dominance and the win on penalties. Chelsea were meant to the Champions League in 2012.

There is only one explanation!!! Jesus is a Chelsea fan!!
