Help Support The Rugby Forum:

Agreed, with the exception of the badge which to me should be a sacrosanct consistent identifier.

It just screams franchise to me. And while RB may be a long term investor who will do a lot of good, one day they will leave the stage and a new identity will have to be created. A nod back to heritage whether Falcons or earlier would have been the classy thing to have done.

But that's the era Newcastle find themselves in and they weren't exactly in a strong bargaining position.
Totally agree. But I can handle a dodgy badge. The strips are pretty decent considering how limited time they've had, but most importantly we still have a club to support and hopefully better actual rugby to watch.

Still waiting to hear the plans for the academy (apparently a full overhaul) and the stadium and facilities etc.

Apparently the Tyne bridge is in there... somewhere.
The Bridge is the first thing i saw, thought it was the main detail (after the bulls of course)
TY.
I'm sure it'll grow on me - doing a sports logo must be a thankless business - I can't think of an actually good one that isn't pre-existing with a long history.
yeah, i look at the Super rugby badges and they look so dated, very 90's 🤢

Red Bulls have just got the shirts revealed but the supporters shirts could be another couple of months before they are available. Very happy with the kit it will be worth the wait 👍

Are other club shops as dismal as Bristol's?

Hardly ever anything in stock.
Saints are the other extreme. If it sells they'll stick a Saints badge on it.

Hence why I force my dog to wear a Saints branded collar and lead. Whilst i wear a Saints lanyard for work. I've clearly got issues I know.

All the supporters from clubs who have Castore are probably still at work, working overtime to be able to afford a couple of shirts 🤣

Wow, are they really that bad?
Put it this way - I bought a castore (away) one for 2023-24; and an aliexpress (home) one for 2024-25 (a mere £65 cheaper) - the latter feels like it's doing better than the former was at the same age - so some exaggeration, but they really are terrible, and I'll never buy another.

I have a small Bears bandana/scarf for my cat that never gets used. Luckily I don't often need a lanyard for work, my better half uses one and yes, it's one from the club.

I think peak for durability we had at Bris were the Kooga ones from the 2000s, Bass triangle being the fan favourite. Still looks new (kinda) from a wear and tear perspective.

I stopped wearing them a few years back as I've been really liking the modern shirt designs plus they're easier to make work with casual clothing. Speaking of, our home shirts this year look very different without the blue lighting used in the promos.

Still waiting for the Red Bulls to advertise our merch we are being told around December due to the late take over. I'm expecting the shirts to be around £55 same as last season, but we will see.

Did Castore feel sorry for Exeter fans?
