Speaking of post-rock, this is a beautiful long track.

TWDY - Little Smoke

It's definitely long. You'll have to explain post-rock - is it when they spend 12:05 tuning their instruments? Thanks for the warning! Sadly, 3/10.

Ginger will love this:

I had a feeling you wouldn't like that one. It isn't easy to get into, that's why I posted it. :D I was originally going to post this one since it is more, let's say, friendly to a newcomer to that genre of music.

Post-rock varies, but most build slowly to a climax. Some very popular post-rock bands include Sigur Rós and Mogwai.

That's better, but what is post-rock? 7/10.

interesting to hear some of their earlier stuff, i've only got the two most recent albums. 8/10.

Netsky's VIP version puts some vocals on Pirate Bay... I think it works.

Psychonaught - Birthday Sex - 4/10

Sorry, I couldn't get into it. Not a fan of the beat or the vocal effect. Usually I'm pretty open about vocals (I listen to Battles), but this is just too overdone nowadays.

Karkwa - Le Bon Sens

Couldn't find the lyrics. Path of glasses? Guess it's obscure, but I like the sound. 7/10.

Not sure what the point of this video is - don't drink while refusing to look at girls? - but I like the music:

I guess that gypsy music has a big berber influence. I remember you posted something from the sahara ages ago, but I think the link went down with the forum switchover.

10/10. Great thing about the guitar is the strings can be plucked and strummed - harp/piano - and you can beat the **** out of the box for percussion - these guys give a great demonstration. Saw them in Dublin years ago. Electric guitar is pretty bland by comparison.

This is a bit long (8:31), but it's eight choirs at the same time, forty parts - so difficult that hearing it live is like winning the lottery. You can hear trumpets, organs, flutes - except it's all voices, not a single instrument:

Very atmospheric. If you are in the mood and don't mind the length this can be just the number; 8/10.

A lesser known track from SA before our music industry took a nose dive.

Like it, wouldn't replay it. 6/10.

Had this in my head for a few days - maybe because of the Queen's visit to Ireland:

I reckon this would be awesome live.

5/10. sounds like it comes from a montage from a middle-of-the-range comedy film.

some of my female friends were getting very excited a few weeks back about going to see Jamie Jones - thought they were being interesting and alternative... anyway I played them this tune and at every predrink, afterparty and smoke up since they've made me play it. and it's not half bad:
