what is this clown on about?

Read on the BBC that Steve Bucknor and Aleem Dar received death threats during the test at Centurion. Obviously there were some dodgy performances from Bucknor during his performances but hardly worthy of a death threat. He's decided to stay on for the ODIs. It's funny how the BBC report mentions that at one stage a South African radio commentator called for Bucknor to resign yet make no mention of the fact that Bob Willis did the same on Sky.

England have won the first of the ODIs, after beating South Africa by the Duckworth Lewis Method
<

South Africa made 175-9 in their 50 overs and England were on 103-3 after 25.1 overs when the rains came.

Next match is a day nighter on Wednesday in Bloemfontein

WOW! What a finish, South Africa only needed 8 off the last over, got 5 from the first ball but couldn't finish the job, Boucher was out next ball, then Prince was run out, and finally after much debate the last ball saw a stumping with the teams tied level. Trescothick had some balls giving Ali that last over as he'd had a bit of a mare.

Earlier in England's innings Kevin Pietersen made his maiden century with Vaughan and Collingwood supporting him well. Gibbs and Kallis had got South Africa into a winning position but they just couldn't quite get the job done.

Roll on Friday in Port Elizabeth

Michael Vaughan hopes to be available for tomorows game in Port Elizabeth, after a virus kept him from fielding in South Africa's innings.

Looks like Steve Harmison will come in at the expense of Kabir Ali.

Ya quite an amazing finish. You could really see the different attitudes in the two sides. England where bowling the last over and the put the young lad Ali up. SA were batting and the consantly delayed puting Prince in and when he finally got in Pollock forced him to run. And you wonder why England circket is going so well. SA shouls show some confidence in their younger players.

South Africa finally back on track with their first ODI win in 15 matches. England will be kicking themselves, were going along nicely but lost key wickets, their bowling was well below par and they let Smith out of jail twice when Trescothick dropped a clanger on 53 and he should have been run out but Jones messed up, not his only mistake. Got to feel sorry for Chris Reed. Credit to South Africa, Smith and Gibbs batted very well and Ntini and Nel kept the wickets tumbling. England will be needing Vaughan and Harmison on Sunday in Cape Town.

In NZ's defence most of the islanders that play for them have been in NZ longer than they can remember... remeber there are more polynessians in aukland than any other city.

Either way woodie mate, you don't need to get so defensive every time someone has a shot at English sport

Hello. I am a huge fan of the England Cricket team, and hope they will win the fourth One-Day International. When I am older I would like to play Cricket. My favourite Cricket players are Michael Vaughan and Martin Saggers.

Come on, be fair to England, it's only Jones, Strauss, Solanki, Pietersen and Jones who were born outside of England
<

I know I'm repeating myself but it looks like Vaughan and Harmison may return for tomorow's match in Cape Town, but this time it's looking like Hoggard may be rested as he didn't have the greatest game in Port Elizabeth.

When your older? Exactly how old are you mate?

Tough task for England in the 4th ODI, South Africa have set them 291 to win, with Gibbs getting a century and Prince and Kemp finishing off in style.

Was too much for England, they lost early wickets with only Pietersen putting up any resistance with 75. South Africa 2-1 up in the series heading on to the next match in East London on Wednesday.

South Africa well in control now after tonights victory in East London, another century from Smith, Andre Kemp certainly took the England attack to task with 7 sixes. Almost like a one man show for England with Kevin Pietersen getting his century off 69 balls, fastest ODI century by an Englishman. Hoggard was again expensive for England. England could have won but left too much in the final overs.
