ok, here goes:
1. Tendai Mtawarira - the fact that every time he gets the ball the whole crowd goes 'Beast'; and having watched him almost single-handedly change the game last Sunday he's exactly the kind of dynamic loosehead that I want.
2. Schalk Brits - he plays like no other hooker I've seen - great set of hands, quick and he never gives up.
3. Martin Castrogiovanni - simply because something happens around him in every game he plays. It's always his big teddy-bear face on the screen looking incredulous.
4. Sebastian Chabal - playing him at second row to make more room in the back row, but his reasons for inclusion are obvious.
5. Courtney Lawes - couldn't resist the temptation to have a really mean second row partnership, even if Matfield can do chip kicks.
6. Tom Croft - arguments could be made for Thompson for the same reasons, but rarely have I seen a forward move so quickly.
7. Kabamba Floors - I've gone for pace again, and this guy was a good 7s player as well.
8. Sergio Parisse - nothing this guy can't do.
9. Ben Youngs - if you're looking for 9s who make things happen around them, look no further than this guy.
10. Quade Cooper - better at being Spencer than Spencer was. Nothing more needs to be said. Magician.
11. James O'Connor - there's already enough youtube evidence on him to last a lifetime, and he still lives with his mum.
12. Sonny Bill Williams - the hype adds to the excitement, and it's completely justified every time he frees that hand and gets the impossible offloads away. Unique amongst all 12s in the world.
13. Napolioni Nalaga - no exciting team is complete without a Fijian, and this guy is the best of the lot. Naturally a winger, but I fancy him running lines off SBW.
14. Takudzwa Ngwenya - got to have an out-and-out sprinter, simply because there's few more satisfying things than watching a winger burn defenders round the outside. Zee is the most creative of the Habana/ Monye/ Varndell (etc.) crowd.
15. Kurtley Beale - like Cooper, a creative genius like no other in top-level rugby.
