• Help Support The Rugby Forum :

Goal should have 2 bars

Why are we anuses? We are not the ones who come here on a regular basis and decimate the sport we love. Every sport has a code and a structure which seperates it from other sports. If we converted all sports codes to a generic type sport, then there will be anarchy!

Why change rugby to accomodate the ideas of one North Korean idiot? If he doesn't understand the sport, then he first needs to learn it, and how it works instead of trying to come with stupid ideas that will never even see the light of day? If he has these ideas, and wants them to be implemented, then surely the Rugby Forum is not the place to do it? What power or authority do we have with the IRB?

We are not anuses. We are realistic rugby lovers!!! Sigesige00 and anyone agreeing with him should be banned! No wait, banning won't be harsh enough, they should go to a rugby field and actually play the game!!

 ok ok, my bad...

I still think a bunch of guys picking on others for ABSOLUTELY NO REASON is a highly unstable human reaction. Quite easy to get your sarcasm out behind your keyboard like that, any loser in the world can do that. Would be nice to not mean to harm others, or rather not care if we do...
Sarcasm's beautiful, but there's a point where it's fkn cheap, kitsche and gratuitous, but above all cowardly. I don't think any of you anuses would actually talk to the guy like that face to face in a real physical room, so back off a little.

EDIT: redrum......REDRUM.

Try me...

Yoe why do you attempt to take the moral highground in everything...including one of SeigeSeige's (resident troll in case you weren't aware) threads.

Yes! And yet he is the one calling people assholes...

well now, let's not go nuts here, you ARE being total jerks with the guy. I'm not perfect, but I don't pick on ppl online for no good reason, and it's not just this thread, some assholes on here will be horribly insulting and disrespectful to others for absolutely no reason (but that they're lonely ?...). That's just a fact, with proofs all around. But wtvr, I like it here besides that.

Trolls of a feather stick together.

 that's so amazingly uncalled for I have absolutely no comment !

No no but don't mind me, go on insulting/making fun of/disrespecting ppl gratuitously...don't mind me, I'm not your parent...and clearly I'm the one with a reprehensible behavior here...^_^

Then you are just being a hypocrite.

Calling people assholes for standing up in what they believe in is also just as uncalled for as us calling a troll and idiot...

At least he's inflicting it on the wendyball ******** too!

http://www.totalfootballforums.com/forums/topic/59445-the-offside-rule-must-be-abolished/

P.S. I still love you Sige and will continue to rep all of your posts.

I actually agree with sigesige totally on the offside rule in association football, it's the worst rule in the history of organized human competition. It turns what should be one of the most thrilling sports in the world to 90 minutes of complete boredom(EPL, Spanish league and a couple of national teams aside). It should either be pulled entirely or as I would suggest modified, eg. somethign like Ice Hockey where you can only be offside closer to the opponents goal(maybe something like you CAN be offside in the 18 yard box but nowhere else on the field instead of just anywhere in the opponents half.)

Edit: I'm completely prepared to hear a whole bunch of heat on this, but football is BY FAR the most conservative sport in the world when it comes to rule changes, and it shows, by how entirely brutal it is to watch outside of 2-3 leagues with a crapload of talent(EPL, Spanish league). The players especially goalkeepers are way bigger than they used to be and the net hasn't been adjusted accordingly, there are too many players on the field. The stop clock should be introduced aka. rugby(no more flopping on the field to waste time). Yellow cards to anyone who speaks to the referee aside from the captain and players involved in incidents. Instant replay for goals and handballs. Harsh(I would prefer Draconian) bans for players caught diving. I just find it mind boggling how football fans are so anti change, and get so completely defensive when anyone dare question the "sanctity of their game."

He sent me a PM saying he's half NK half Japanese...

I am a Japanese national with an ethnically Korean origin (my grandfather was from Jeju).

By the way, in the DPRK, popular sports are Association Football, Boxing, Weight-Lifting, Table-Tennis.
Rugby Union is played in the Korean schools in Japan, but there is no Rugby Union or Rugby League in the DPRK.

Yet strangely the the officials had no problems with it when the balls did go higher? It's very rare that it's hard to see if it went over or not, but that's what the TMO is for.

I have not seen difficult decisions in Rugby, but that is possible. Even in a totally fair goal, one judge questioned it and judge was done by video referee (in Scotland's game in the last World Cup...I forgot Scotland's opponents.)

11 substitutes and use any time? Watch American Football and give up messing with Union!!

Unlimited substitution would be interesting because it will result in the appearance of place-kick specialists. Even they do not have enough physical strength, they can play as a specialist kickers. Isn't it interesting?

New Laws:

When a team tackle the opponent ball-holder in the opponents' ingoal, 1 point is scored.
When the opponent team do carry-back, the offensive team can choose 1 point or 5m line-out (from the touch-line the team choose).

I'll bite.

When a team tackle the opponent ball-holder in the opponents' ingoal, 1 point is scored.
It could work, but why does it need to happen? The team that get tackled in their in-goal are already heavily penalised without the 1-pointer. Instead of getting to kick the ball for a ~20m gain, they have to face a defensive scrum on the 5m line. I don't see why they need to be penalised any more...

When the opponent team do carry-back, the offensive team can choose 1 point or 5m line-out (from the touch-line the team choose).
Cannot work. Anywhere else on the field, teams get plenty of space with which to work an in-field kick. Without being able to use their in-goal area, fly-halves will not be able to support their team in a kick to clear their 5m line. Teams will be forced to either run the ball out of their 22, or to box kick away. These may not be possible when you have the lineout 5m out from your own tryline. This rule would put so much more pressure on teams with the ball in their own 22. Teams will recognise this and instead of attacking, we'll just see more kicks to the corner trying to put the defensive team under pressure.
