Right, I have decided to buy another game. Now that I have payed off some debts and have some money to spend.

My choices are:

Bourne Conspiracy: I love the Bourne series, I have all the movies and read all the books and this really interests me. I just havnt heard anything about it. I dont know if its any good or anything, but the fact that its Bourne makes me want to get it. Its at the top of my wants list, but there are other games that I want as well.

Call of Duty 4: I only want this for the online aspects to play the ps3 owners on here, though I dont know how often i can get on and play it online or anything. Thats the only thing really stopping me from getting this at this stage. I really would rather get this second hand or something, but havnt found it cheap enough. But I can afford the full price, but not sure.

MGS4: Heard alot about it, its defiantly worth buying at some stage, but I dont know if it would be the game for me. I havnt played any of the other MGS' and dont really know too much about the series. i know what rock have i been hiding under?

Drakes Fortune: I have also heard alot about this game, looking for it second hand like COD4. I love tomb raider and adventure games like that. It looks really good with the graphics and everything, looks bright and colourful and look forward to having a go at this at some stage.

ill leave this poll up for a week, and if anyone can think of any other sorts of games i would like then let me know and I could add to the poll. I will buy the game that the most votes.

Since you want online and you haven't played any other MGS game (seriously, how big was that rock you were under? :D), COD4 would be your best bet imo. Movie-to-game games don't normally work out too well, but Drake's Fortune wouldn't be too bad if you're looking for a good adventure. So, definately go with one of these. (Tbh, I wasn't all that impressed with COD4's online nade-frag-fests, but opinions will be opinios).
Basically, elimating MGS4 and Bourne:
COD4 - for multiplayer.
DF - For single player.

COD 4

have you played Fight Night Round 3? Trust me you wone be dissapointed with it!

nah havnt played round 3, played 1 and 2 and they were ok. But boxing lacks something a bit for me. Fighting games in general dont do anything for me. I grew up doing martial arts, and i just dont see the point in games with fighting in it :) though the boxing were the better games to play.

From those games, I'd choose Call of Duty 4
By the way, my favourite game ever is Mafia: City of Lost Heaven

I reckon go cod 4 for some online goodness.

mgs4 does come with metal gear online I believe but it may not be everyones cup of tea for those that have a ps3 on here. the ps3 online game of choice here at trf seems to be cod 4 so I would go for that.

If you ever play on your PC and are a massive RPG nerd, get the collector's edition of Baldur's gate/ Icewind Dale.

That's about 120 hours of gameplay for $20 :D

In all seriousness, i'd go MGS4. While COD is good, it lasts about 6 hours max and is about as deep as a sexually molested five year old on meth. Except the meth addicted five year old would probably have a better perception of bullet trajectories + physics and general realism.

Call of Duty is kind of like that fetish porno you didn't mean to download on p2p. It's great for ten minutes, but afterwards you feel dirty, as if you've done something wrong.

Yeah but then you keep going back to it......again and again. you just can't stop yourself!

COD4 is waaaay ahead on votes....but be careful woosaah...this game is EXTREMELY addictive online...more addictive than any other game I know. You just sit ther and look at the PS3 and think "I need to shoot someone"...then you turn it on.

Yeah don't get me wrong, I like COD, and this is coming from a simulations fan- I hate unrealistic games. It got a lot right, but still I think FPS needs far more innovation. PC nerds blame linear design on the console, but I don't think it's that. Look at Brothers in Arms or the Wii. The larger developers just need to take some risks.

I have played COD4, hired it out for a weekend, and i did enjoy it. I am just waiting for my flatmates to leave cause then i can have it up. looking forward to playing something.

Looks like COD at this stage... 5 days to go.
Just had a big read up on Bourne and aparently its really good. This will defiantly be a game of the future for me, but as I said that its going to be the winner on the day that I buy.

Of that list, i'd say either Bourne Conspiracy or Drake's Fortune. I find COD is a bit like marmite - you love it or you hate it (and as youve probably guessed, im not exactly a fan). MGS4 I am sure is good, but with no prior understanding of the previous games I suspect you'll get lost pretty quickly. I played the demo of Bourne and I didnt really like it, but as youve said, ive heard really good things about it, so maybe its just me. Has the demo ever been released on PSN? And Drake's Fortune... well, its no Jak, but its probably the cheapest of the lot by now and, besides MGS4, probably the one id opt for.

My two local cheapest currency, anyways.

Woosah - Download Drakes Fortune demo from the playstation store and check it out. Not too bad...

ALthough I would say COD4 is the game for me, not played it yet, but played 1 and 2 on PC and that would be enough to sell me on the series.

I just hired MGS4 and like you never played any of the series before. You will either love it or find it uninteresting depending on what spins ya wheels. I played it for an hour and it annoyed the **** out of me - but then I guess Im a FPS player through and through, although I did thought Drakes was certainly very playable and soething a bit different.

Let me know what Bourne is like when you finally get your hands on it. Like you Im a massive fan.

Seriouosly keep an eye on the Playstation store - just recently there are loads of free game demos to check out - well on the UK site anyways.

Have to say the PS3 is farkin awesome!!!! and the games are starting to get better too!

COD4, then GRID and maybe BOURNE will be my next rentals...

ok u need COD 4 seriously that is one of the best FPS i have ever played its quite addictive!

MGS4. I don't know how it's even a choice, unless Final Fantasy XIII is out. :)
[/b]
Well, it's all opinion and MGS4 won' satisfy you half as much if you haven't played the previous installments.
As a side point: When is the full version of Spore being released? I know it's requirements are quite low, just need to know the date. :rahh:

I only started Final Fantasy at VII, and loved it... But yeah i see what you are saying. Wait for Final Fantasy XIII.... It's going to be the best game ever....

SPORE will be released this September..... :)

FF 7 is considered the best game ever made by some. So yeh, I'd be surprised if you didn't like it. :p I only played IX (9), and that was brilliant!

IX is my favorite too, and XII on PS2 is unbelievable.
