I know this is an overtly manly forum.. And I'm nothing more than a soft little back , but I've a predicament.

Being a very vain person I'm at a crossroads here , in the last year my 20th on this earth , I've developed a fine layer of hair on my chest and stomach.. And this is something I do not enjoy whatsoever. Not only does it hinder tanning in the midday sun but it significantly detracts from muscular definition , which at this time is key to life.

Now , how much of a nancy boy would it make me to actually go and veet this off. It's quite unlike me to be doing such a thing , being a meat eating , veg hating , gun shooting , beer drinking adult male... However... It's hindering the gains.

What do I do brethren...

Japanese proverb say, "Bird never make nest in bare tree".

Shave it. Nothing wrong with looking after yourself lad.

Chest hair is top, you should keep it. Makes you look like a manly man man. Keep your genitals neater however, as women dislike hairy sweaty balls.

Problem with shaving is that it makes it grow back faster and thicker (also can lead it ingrowing hairs). You should always 'trim' hair and never shave it off complete. Best method of removal would be with a hair-removal cream or waxing.

This is what I do. I feel my sack resembles a brain in terms of texture on a cold day when I'm entirely pubeless, and that I do not like. That said, I'm not sure how much credence there is to the old theory that shaving makes it grow back faster.

At first I thought this was an arguement to the Dave Cameron porn farce.

As a back nobody will be surprised at the amount of manscaping you do. I went OTT on doing the bits once, sporting a brazilian will get you odd looks in the club house showers trust me.

Ah not the meat and veg are tended to weekly, I'm just concerned the lack of chest hair and treasure belly fur will make me look like the worlds largest baby

Nothing wrong with a bit of chest hair you jessy.

If you've got a bit of muscle, having a little hair on your chest won't hinder the effects, you'll still be in better shape than the majority of the overweight lard asses out there.

Remember, re-growth can get damn itchy. I've got a little tuft that can poke out from my t-shirts, which I shave. But that get's bloody itchy when it begins to grow back again. I'm not sure if there's truth in shaving causes it to grow back thicker, but from my experience there's truth in plucking making it grow back thicker. I plucked a bunch of stray hairs on my face a while back which was a mistake, as now they grow back a lot quicker, and longer than before! Apparently repeated plucking can eventually hinder growth, but it's getting there!

As for down below, I do trim mine to keep it a little neater. Can't say I've ever considered going smooth though, because where does it end then? Having bald two veg, but hairy stomach and legs would look ridiculous.

Went into boots today to pick up the veet... Bottled it , left with Ted Baker hair wax and a 3 pack of skins

Haha! Man oh man, I guess the girls in the North are a bit different than the ones down here? My wife-to-be loves my hairy body (chest and back) it keeps her warm in the winter.

As for definition, I think if you have to get rid of the hair, then you don't have the definition to start with when you had the hair. Nobody likes a Justin Bieber lookalike body wise. Keep the hair, trim your bush, if she has to then so do you.

Also don't go for wax. I screamed worse than Steve Carrel in 40 year old virgin! Never again!

In the States it seems no one likes hair - anywhere. 'Manscaping' is a big thing now, and personally I hate it. I do not want to be with a guy who looks prepubescent or feminine. Some guys remove all hair, from head to toe, while others just do it selectively. It's not all guys, of course, but it's far more than I would have ever imagined. We have one friend who totally freaked me out one day when he came for a visit wearing a wife-beater, with shaved armpits. He's a bit chubby, so it just made him seem very feminine to me - kinda creepy, actually (knowing the guy, however, I know it has more to do with narcissism - which isn't any better).
