What i really do not understand is that he's been saying that he would like to work for the UFC and pulling out of a fight ain't probably the best way to achieve that.
He is clearly talented, but if you were to compare fighters using a talent/hype ratio, he is arguably the most overrated fighter in the sport.

I think he'd lose a rematch with Aldo, Aldo went in reckless and paid the price for it. I think McGregor has talent but as you say I don't think he's worth the hype.

UFC197 was a cracker.
Mighty Mouse is a beast, he's just cleaned out the flyweight division. He's said he wants to beat Silva's most ***le defences record, so no rematch with Cruz yet. Would like to see TJ Dillashaw drop down, if he can handle the cut. There's just no one out there for MM!
Jon Jones wasn't impressive, for me. Did enough to win and was pretty dominant, but I expected more. Also you factor in that OSP had a broken arm for a large portion of the fight (I've heard he did it in the 3rd) it makes it a bit worse.
Shame that DC was injured as I reckon he could've taken this Jones. However I reckon JJ takes him at 200 after working on his deficiencies.
Yair's KO was as good as you'll see in the octagon. Only 23 as well! He's got some future ahead of him, I hope the UFC start marketing him properly.

So Weidman is out of UFC199 with Bisping stepping up to the plate.
Don't get me wrong, Luke wins this fight 999/1000 but I'm still delighted for The Count. He's been a top 10 fighter for years and lost his next-in-line fights to proven roiders.
Just a shame it's on two weeks notice, and Mike's been in Canada filming a movie. His game plan relies on top level cardio (providing Rockhold doesn't kill him rd1) so that will have taken a hit.

Still two fights to go on UFC199 and I think it's the best card I've ever watched, fights have been crazy.
Then to top it off they announce Diaz/McGregor2 at UFC202.
Then to top that they announce Brock Lesnar is fighting at UFC200!
Conor McGregor giving it the big I am, saying he can't be replaced....so they get Brock back :lol:

Mark Hunt confirmed as the guy who's going to punch Brock's head clean off his shoulders
Should be a great fight, looking forward to seeing how Brock looks these days. Apparently he's kept up his MMA training the past few years, and has gone hard as a mofo the past few months. His loss against Overeem is a bit sketchy as it was pretty soon after his surgery and he was hit directly where he had the surgery and it just killed him. Years of recovery (plus years of roids) should see him in peak condition.
Hunto is an interesting opponent as Lesnar never like getting hit. Sounds daft as who does? But Lesnar always seemed to retreat a bit more into his shell as he got tagged more.
Going up against probably the hardest hitter in MMA is going to be fun for him!

I'm trying to be annoyed at JJ but....Hunto/Brock, Tate/Nunes, Edgar/Aldo, Cain/Travis, Super Sage, Takanori Gomi, THE ****ING SPIDER

**** JJ, but it's hardly new information that he's a douche nozzle. Feel for Cormier, if JJ gets 2 years (which is possible) then he'll never get his shot at revenge - I can't see DC still fighting by that point (with his kidney issues).

People were sleeping on Alvarez because he's a wrestler but he was quality.
RDA didn't look terrible but once Alvarez caught him with that hook it was a matter of time.
Cormier will beat Silva with ease, he could just pick him up and slam him into the floor until the ref calls it if he wants to.
Hopefully they put on a bit of show, though. God knows Silva has the skill set to do so, but after the Diaz and the Bisping fan he looks way too cautious. It makes sense considering his leg break and that he's a counter striker, but I'd love to see him throw down a bit more rather than wait for the highlight reel KO to present itself

Wrestlers make effective fighters but damn do they make dull fights.
Both Cormier and Lesnar got solid wins but....yawn
That said, it's a good win for Brock. If he continues in the UFC (he's said he wants to, but it's up to the WWE as he's under contract) then if he increases his gas tank he could have a good run
