Saints did smash Bristol yesterday though
I feel they will want to go out on a high

Sarries I reckon might sneak it

Next week feels like a decider for 2nd place, Tigers I feel can get away with 2 loses now and still be in top 4

Yeah I think two wins for us should be enough - Bristol plus one other, as a win over Bristol would extend that gap
 
What a feeble round.

Three outright thrashings. Not a remotely close game among them. Some great attacking play, but revolving door defence and no jeopardy or drama. Poor stuff.

Everything stuck for Glaws, but Exeter were a total embarrassment. I hope they have the decency to refund their supporters.

The Premiership highlights even say it's an Irish youngster. Getting a bit ridiculous recently seeing people born and bred in England getting labelled as belonging to the nation of their parents and even seen comments of us "poaching" because people born and raised in England played for England...

Indeed. According to some posts I've seen on twitter England are pathetic poachers for selecting a Scottish player called Henry Pollock.

Even more annoying when a lot of those comments come from people whose 'national' team features a significant amount to players with no blood ties to their country at all and plenty of others who are English by birth, upbringing and development.

As far as Donoghue's concerned, he's born in Salisbury, educated at Millfiled, a product of Bath's academy and doesn't appear to have featured for any age grade sides (England or Ireland). I think he's too old for U20 rugby so if he's interested in the Irish route, he'd need to move to one of the provinces. A risky move when he's making good progress at Bath and Russell needs a successor.

Definitely way too early to talk about anything England related but there’s definitely room for someone to claim the 10 shirt for A squad. On current form, Donoghue would probably be in pole position followed by Benson. Both are the perfect age to add to the group behind the Smiths.

What was your response in round 9 to the 38 -0, 68 - 10 and 61 - 0?, did all them teams refund the supporters? Funnily enough the weekend we beat Gloucester.

Chiefs arnt good right now and had a bad day at the office no doubt but it happens, im not happy about it but still. Bath got a big win vs Falcon...shocker the top teams he we pushed last week played a team arguably worse than us.

Some weekends are great some arnt...this is sport.

My reaction has always been that there have been way too many one sided results, irrespective of who’s been involved. If people want to watch that then fine, but it’s a total turn off for me. I’d certainly be pretty p*ssed off to shell out £50 or £60 for a ticket and travel a couple of hours both ways to watch a bunch of players who were totally outclassed (or being frank at times looked like they didn’t really care).

As far as Chiefs are concerned their performance was probably the worst I’ve seen. More worryingly for them, the graph’s been consistently downwards for a few years with precious few signs of material improvement, despite any number of their players being mooted as the next big thing - only IFW has come close to meeting his hype. There are some Aussies on their way, but to an outsider looking in it feels like there’s something very wrong at the core.
 
I think Exeter will be the most disappointed come end of the season. But for one TMO/official failure they could be finishing with the fewest wins and, certainly during the run-in, leakiest defence. For counting 9 internationals among their ranks, plus the likes of Frost, Hodge, Vermeulen etc that is pretty disappointing.
It will be interesting to see how the new signings fit in - especially Ikitau as the marquee who only seems to be coming in for about 6 months

Yeah. I feel a bit sorry for Baxter as the Exeter side that won the Champions’ Cup is a distant memory now. Huge rise followed by what feels like a massive fall.

Said it before but, unfortunately, I think he’s part of the problem. Whatever role he has officially got, he’s an overly dominant figure there. Just simply been there too long and knows nothing but Chiefs. He’s one of the game’s good guys and it’s sad to see what’s happening, but you need to know when to leave the stage, otherwise that decision will be made for you.

Rowe apparently went into the dressing room after the match and gave the players both barrels.
