Raising money for TRF

Well, I would like to contribute to that magazine. What are the possibilities to create a VIP members-only section with rugby footage? I am not talking about something like rugbydump.com but more something in the line of full matches which only paying members can access? I can provide a lot of those

Technically its illegal to upload and put matches onto the web, if they were posted here could lead to the forum being in trouble. I dont want to be the person bring the barer of bad news but dont want the forum to get into trouble.

I'm not sure the law on rugby matches are quite as simple as that Cymro, as the majority of matches aren't available to buy in the first place. But I agree that we shouldn't attempt anything like that, as it's a grey area which would be bound to attract the wrong kind of attention.

Once my overloaded uni life is over (not for at least another 2 years), I'd like to become more involved in this site. Whilst my writing skills aren't good enough to write articles etc. I have some decent photoshop skills and could help with the putting together etc. of someting like a newsletter / magazine, as well as keeping things like logos and banners up to date.

Okay, fair enough. The news letter is still a good idea though. If you put together a team of members to create this on a monthly basis, it would be awesome.

I've always wanted to do that. We have the capabilities I think, it's just time. Something like that is a big, big project. If there was a team of 5 people that fancied doing it, I think that would be a fantastic thing to do.

And we're not becoming a paysite, it's running alongside existing membership, so hits will remain uneffected. I would hope hits went UP seeing as ST members would be looking to get their money's worth!

I'd definitely like to help with the writing articles side of things if the plan comes into fruition. I'm going to University to study Journalism and I intend to eventually specialise in sports related journalism. It would be both beneficial to me and the site as I could help out and ease the workload while my writing skills would improve from doing it.
Give me a shout if needed.

I'll help with Currie Cup and Super Rugby and what not if anything comes around, I'll try to make some time for it.

Feel free to contribute to the blogs now, you don't need to wait for any magazine to write for TRF. We're always recruiting.

I had started one at the beginning of the season but I was unable to continue my Dad was not keen on me putting team information online :/ Trying to think up another thing to write about .

Maybe do some sort of raffle if people have contacts who might donate prizes? tickets 5 quid ..a paintball forum I participate in does this annually although the difference being we know each other mostly and meet up for the raffle :/

I am going to roll out the season ticket scheme. It looks to me like it's going to be successful so I'll roll it out some time next week, maybe over the weekend.

The magazine will require a lot of work from 5 people at least.

I know you said I can make contributions now with the blogs which I will but like I said if you need a hand I'd be glad to help with the magazine, manly writing, but I do have Adboe Photoshop aswell and though I'm not that familiar with it I could learn, so just let me know if needed.

I have my Pay-Pal account linked/integrated into my FNB internet banking, so you can transfer money from any sort of debit account into your Pay-Pal account online and then send money to almost anywhere in the world:D

If you can do it with FNB, I guess Standard Bank should work

Thanks for the info

$24-$30 p.a. for a season ticket?.

VFM. Put me down for an ST... how and when do I pay?

Were in the process of getting everything together to get it working... so once its up we will have a big announcement, and tell you what you get and how to get it...
