I reckon this is destined for disaster, but I am very much looking forward to hearing some of the answers that are provided. In principle I think it's a very good idea but people aren't always looking to be polite to referees, are they?

They're just opening themselves up for criticism (even more). I hope players aren't died if they have a go at them o Twitter.

I never really got why athletes the world over, in any pro sport, are never allowed to have even a sly word about a referee without getting in trouble Seems like an infringement on free speech.

Nigel Owens does it, gets a lot of flak but is able to deal with it to be fair.
