Help Support The Rugby Forum:

that link was mean't to take you to rugby 2005 game thing, which is all bull... its rugby 2004

Is it safe to assume that no one actually working on Rugby 2005 will be looking here?

the Madden engine woulve been more suitable, its closer too the sport of Rugby then soccer is.

Hopefully it will have a Madden-Like Franchise mode

i would rather see good gameplay with just the teams that were in 2004, maybe adding NPC and or Currie Cup.

Anyone know what the 'engine' consists of?

the hell do you mean?
whats the point in that link???

It was meant to take you to a site which was supposedly selling Rugby 2005.

The only mention of rugby 2005 I can find is as follows.......

"Throwback Trax will be featured in all of EA Sports upcoming titles, including NBA Live 2005, FIFA Soccer 2005, NASCAR 2005: Chase for the Cup, Rugby 2005, and NHL 2005. No specific track listings have been announced at this time, but notable artists on the Rhino label include House of Pain, Pantera, MC Lyte, Faith No More, The Jesus and Mary Chain, The Cure, and Violent Femmes".

better have good trax on rugby, not like the one they had on 2004 'get up'

more like get out

is it still playstation2 only or will it be on xbox???.....xbox live rugby

It also says "Using internal resources at EA Canada", which on their webpage states they make fifa, nba, total club manager, and a few others but not madden, so they couldn't of used madden afterall

But I cant believe how people think that the PS2 is better than xbox.
Xbox has so much going for it over the ps2.
the only thing the ps2 has over xbox imo is more games. But thats understandable as it came out almost 2 years before the Xbox.

ps2 sucks, only thing thats good is the controller.

I think rugby 2005 will come out on xbox

npc/provincial.....doesnt hav to have the correct players likeness accept for the main provinces such as auckland
<

<
...but should hav 2nd division and 3rd division teams....its a long shot...but would add much value to the player draft and the campaign mode ill talk bout later....
That's not even worth attempting. [/b]
i betcha still play it if they had it....it is worth atempting
<

damn they would struggle to get stats for division one, let alone three!

and seeing the comp is going to be restructed, 1st division only prob

yeah but this is like 30-odd teams in the npc all together
it would have a great feel becoming a lower rank coach and building up to super12 standard.....or maybe just a create a comp and team and add all the players in

I think the 1st div will definatley be there, seen as the lions are touring here next year, and they will probly try to release the game to coincide(sp?) with that seen the lions are playing quite a few provinces in nz

Yeah, it would be intelligent for EA to do that. If they do have NPC I hope they'll have the Ranfurly Shield.

do you think they would of got the nz maori's to do the haka for motion capture?

i hope that EA put some more effort into trying to make it more of a TV style presenation, in the way of replays, stats and comentating. i no it can be done, i think the way madden 04 did it was perfect.
Also replays need to happen more then just for when you score a try. Like when you make a big brake and don't quite make it, the next time theres a brake in play eg. a lineout they could show a replay! and every once and a while bring up stats.

This was one thing that really got me down in rugby 2004 and if this can be resolved it will bring the game up so much more in my overall enjoyment!

yeah, i was so annoyed when i found out the level of stats in R04. Even in games stats like JLR had would be sufficant, and then further stats outside of an actuall game ( in season mode).

When is rugby 2005 actually going to get it's own catagory?

When more info is released is my guess.

I mean all we have heard is that its being made and is using among other things the FIFA Engine
