RWC 2015 Qualifiying

In the lone RWC qualifying game this weekend Trinidad and Tobago came out big winners at home vs. Barbados 32-3 was the final score. More matches take place on the 19th of May.

I saw T&T play in Brazil four years ago. Some great black speedsters and some fat white forwards.

I also saw Barbados play Canada a few years back it's Canada's biggest ever victory back in 2006 for RWC qualifying.

Chile could well qualify. The Under 20 team defeated Argentina´ under 19 team on Saturday; It was the first time Chile had defeated Argentina in a rugby match. It was not only a win but a huge one! 33-14! I´d suggest Chile are the strongest contender to qualify of all teams who have never qualified. Also Chile indeed are, indeed, dark horses to qualify.

See here

Qualifying resumed today in the America's with a couple of games on tap. Bermuda defeated the Cayman Islands 7-3, and there was a 10-10 draw between Barbados and Guyana.

I'm not 100% sure but I believe this means Barbados are unable to advance. Bermuda must now play the Bahamas, while Guyana will take on Trinidad and Tobago.

Can anyone tell me which season of the European Nations Cup will determine the European qualifiers for 2015?

The 2013/14 Season will determine the two qualification spots. After that is completed the third place team in 2013/14 must play a lower side from Europe(the best of the non ENC division 1 sides) to determine who advances to the repechage qualification stage.

The Asian qualification process is again underway with the Asian Division III teams in action. Only the winner of the four team group will have an oppourtunity to advance. The first two games resulted in India beating rivals Pakistan 34-5 and Guam 38-17 Indonesia. Pakistan and Indonesia are thus eliminated from RWC 2015. Guam and India will face off to determine the advancement on Friday.

There was more action today as another Asian pool got started the winner of which will play the winner of Guam vs. India. The results of today's action were Thailand 37-17 Iran, Malaysia 89-0 China. Iran and China are therefore eliminated from qualfying for 2015. Thailand and Malaysia will playoff on the weekend.

The final results from the weekend are in, in Asian qualifying India have defeated Guam 18-16 and Thailand emerged victorious 22-19 over Malaysia in two excitng games. Guam and Malaysia are eliminated from the RWC while India and Thailand will face off to determine further advancement.

In the NACRA qualifying zone Guyana blanked Trinidad and Tobago 20-0, T and T are eliminated while Guyana will face either Bermuda or the Cayman Islands depending on the next round of games.

Sorry about the tardy reporting about this game but last weekend, Bermuda beat the Bahamas 16-8 to advance to the final of the first NACRA stage where they will face Guyana.

Say, wwwhhhhy does Jamaica even bother ??...
they're never getting anywhere, so they might as well just concentrate their efforts efficiently in other sports they're..."decent" at ?

Bermuda have defeated Guyana 18-0 to advance to the next round and are crowned NACRA champions. They will face off against the winner of CONSUR B(South America), which goes later this year.

RWCQ 2015 Playoff/NACRA Championship Game write up.
http://bernews.com/2012/06/bermuda-win-caribbean-rugby-title/

Guyana is the 15th squad eliminated.

Next phase of Americas: Bermuda will play the winner of Consur B 2012 at the country with the highest rank. Consur B will have Paraguay vs. Columbia and Peru vs. Venezuela in first round September 9. The winners will square off for the Consur B title September 12, while the losers play a consolation match. Matches will be played in Valencia, Columbia.
Winner of Bermuda/Consur B match will play Brazil for the right to compete in the 2013 Consur A Championship.

Next RWCQ match will take place Saturday July 14, where Thailand will host India in Bangkok. One-off match here, winner promotes to Division 1 for 2013 while loser is eliminated from RWC 2015. Don't know what protocol will be if Div 3 winner India promotes to Div 1 (will Div 2 feature 3 teams or will China stay up?). Match not listed yet on IRB's site...found this news on the Rugby India facebook page.
