Saints sign promising fly-half Joe Ford from Leeds

Northampton Saints have signed promising teenage fly-half Joe Ford from Leeds Carnegie.

The 19-year-old came through the Leeds academy and scored 18 points in a man-of-the-match performance against Leicester in the LV= Cup this season.

"I'm looking forward to joining one of the biggest clubs in the country and working with the coaches," Ford said.

Can't see him getting much gametime in Northampton, with both Myler and Geraghty playing well/fighting for the 10 shirt

For him, this is fantastic, as he'll get to play as understudy to 2 of England's best flyhalves.
For Saints, it's not bad but you can never tell how good it is until he's played a few.
