Spectre; last night instead of watching the Bronze play off match.

I was underwhelmed by it. Yes load of set pieces, explosions, car chase, pays homage to previous Bonds and Christopher Waltz is very good, but I didn't think it was amazing. I thought Daniel Craig looked old in it and this should be his last Bond outing. The second Bond girl is also not that fanciable; great body, but not really hot, like Ava Green. Probably on par with Skyfall, but no where near as good as Casino Royale, which is my favourite recent Bond (behind From Russia with love and Goldfinger).

A friend of mine appears in the scene where Spectre meet up, he was also appeared in Skyfall, as the Chinese guy who brings the case full of chips to Bond in the Casino. But this time, he was really background, just sitting behind the main Chinese member of spectre at the table.

i reccomend the horror double house of 1000s corpses followed by the sequel the devils rejects

I have it was okay but not brilliant main issue is Reggie is far more interesting Ronnie. Plus it suffers from a usual problem in biopics of "then this happened, then this happened" rather than trying to create some kind of narrative which obviously isn't true in real life but creates problem in films.

The Martian.

For any hard Sci-Fi buffs out there, this is quite simply a must see. Yes, there are a few technical quibbles, but NASA planetary scientists, and astronauts generally gave this move the thumbs up for depiction of what it would really be like to live and work on Mars. Right up there with the best Sci-Fi movies of all time - Blade Runner, 2001:A Space Odyssey & Alien

Really liked the tone of The Martian. Always felt the jeopardy, but Damon does really to lighten the mood. Castaway in space :D

I've just see the Martian too, I'd go as far as to say you don't even need to be a Sifi fan to enjoy it , being set in space just came across to nothing more than the setting to me, the wife loves it too

I thought the fact it was based on reality ...to some extent, not warp drive for example... Made it easier to understand if you know what I mean

Great acting and some awesome one liners to break it up a bit

I've just realised, I get through quite a lot of films when in reality I should be doing uni work. I do get a little done whilst watching, but still.....

So what to do now? A film sounds tempting :p

It happens, i use to watch tv series whilst doing all my uni work, though my work was all computer graphics stuff so i could get away with the distraction, if anything it kept me going on those all nighters

You should really read the book, then.
It's way better + pretty good !

The 1957 original or the 1997 remake?

Got to be the 1957 original. There are certain films they should never remake: the Godfather, Back to the Future, the Shawshank Redemption are others that spring to mind.

Horns (the one with Daniel Radcliffe in).

My mates have been saying it's great for a while, but I've been putting it off expecting some cheesy horror flic but it was really not and I REALLY liked it. Like....A LOT.
Not sure if it's because I had such low expectations or if it was really that good, but I'd really recommend checking it out (it's on Netflix).

It was a lot darker than I thought it would be when I saw it.

Civil War trailer does look really good.
I've read the comics of that arc, so I'm a little disappointed they appear to have changed quite a bit HOWEVER it's understandable - the logistics of having pretty much every marvel character involved wouldn't be possible, especially the amount they'd have to introduce.

Yeh it is a great comic arc, but would never have been possible for the big screen in one movie.

Excited to see Spider-Man cameo, Really disliked the amazing Spider-Man films.

Also liking the Star Wars TV spots esp the Stormtroopers and there new gear.
