Kris Burton (flyhalf) from Treviso

Aged 33. Hardly the future, and hardly that great either. Decent goal kicker, and tackler. But stands far too deep.

Netani Talei (backrow) from Edinburgh

Faletau leaving is he?

Martin Muller (lock) from Cheetahs

South African journeyman Vodacom/Currie Cup lock. Hardly played much Super Rugby for the Cheetahs, not a single minute for two seasons in fact, more a signing from the Griquas than Cheetahs. Reminiscent of the kind of signing the Scarlets to "add grunt".

Francisco Nahuel Tetaz Chaparro (prop) from Stade Francais

Much like signing a South African lock, another signing probably more based on the stereotype of nationality rather than anything seen by the player. After all he has played a mere 32 minutes for Stade this season all in the Amlin Challenge Cup, but he is an Argentine prop so must be good.

Interesting. By all accounts Strings has been very impressive at Bath, but I would have thought that he's leaving it mighty fine with the whole tax back thing now.

On the other hand I do know that he's supposed to be mad for just playing, which is cool.
