So Munster's solution to their propping crisis is to steal Leinster and Ulster's starting TH's? That's great for Irish rugby that is!

No I think we loosing battle on stealing Leinsters TH. Feic ye are safe for now :D.

Also I've heard rumours Leinster are looking for a 2nd row in New Zealand any word on this

I have heard nothing about that...would there be any hope of Leinster nicking Ali Williams ...when fit he is a top class operator

Are there nothing in the Academy's? Surely getting people like Popplewell and Wallace back and get them to coach might help?

Reggie Corrigan has been floating around giving scrummaging sessions to teams although I am not sure whether he is with the Leinster team :/

Up until 12 months ago the scrums were mainly ignored. Now Munster are paying the price. The attitude was like the Australian attitude that props should offer more in other areas. Horan and Hayes to their credit were able to survive while offering extras around the pitch but they're old now. Mike Ross is from Munster and was playing for Cork Con but Munster didn't want him so he went to Harlequins and was a success there.

The underage props are only allowed to push a certain distance and thats not competitive enough. If they get their act togethar now it'll be a few years before we see good props emerging unless theres some in playing domestic rugby already.

Ulster have confirmed on their website that Botha is leaving.

Munster could have the best scrum coach on earth but if all he has to work with at tighthead is Buckle, Hayes, Archer and Borlase, it won't make a jot of difference. As such Botha is an excellent prospective signing. He'll offer jack around the field but he'll secure Munster's scrum which is the major issue they need to address.

Scrum coaches do make a difference in fairness. And his name is Buckley not Buckle.

Snoop I agree with that but McCarthy is an awful scrum guru. Botha is on his way and if he steadies the scrum then there's other guys to get around field although I'm sure the fitness team will help BJ :D
Scrum coaches do make difference but input has to be from both ends and technique is vital part.

Just after hearing BJ is wanting a move back to South Africa so looks like we will have a battle. Just after hearing that.

Scrum coaches do make some difference but if all you've got to work with is rubbish, you're not going to make them a competent unit. I'm not defending the job McCarthy has done by the way. He's clearly overseen a rapid decline in Munster's scrummaging standards. Only last night the A teams scrum was destroyed by Bristol, giving up two penalty tries for example.

I presume you'll correct any poster who calls Buckley by his other nickname Mushy, refers to Hayes as the Bull, Foley as Axel, Stringer as Strings too then?! ;)

Rumours that Ulster were looking at Mils Muliaina to fill their newly opened NIQ spot.

Axel for forwards coach :)

Doubt Ulster will get Mils i'm sure France will be his destination or maybe Douggie will have a word.
Snoop I agree a coach needs solid tools to perform and vice versa
