Removing access to safe abortion just means unsafe abortions occur.
And welcome to the ignore button.
that makes you the 3rd poster I've ever used it for, and one of those was only temporary
Chaps been on mine for a while but there were like three highly objectional parts to that post.

Referring to a trans as an ideology is straight up transphobia sorry.

100% true.
I guess my eyes kinda skipped it as it wasn't the question, and is exactly what I'd expect from him.

2 VERY strong reasons to ignore, from 1 post - and fairly substantial history of posts showing he's on the WUM, rather than discussing - though unlike DH, he is capable of doing discussion, just from a weird-to-me point of view.

To be fair, I don't think the abortion debate is as black and white as can be made out. Don't get me wrong I wouldn't ban abortion but then I'm also not exactly sure how sound "my body my choice" is as an argument either. There's some very interesting philosophical roads you can go down with this debate.

Having said that @ChicagoKid said that even though he would ban it he realises that's not realistic so he would do 12 weeks and that's when the majority of abortions happen anyway I believe.

Why should the state force a person for 6 months to involuntarily have extreme body and mental trauma?
The argument would be because human life is precious and has a right to be protected. But then you get into the weeds about when does a human life start in the womb. It’s very tricky. I’m not generally against “my body my choice” as an argument as generally it sounds very logical but using an extreme hypothetical no one would be ok with a woman terminating a pregnancy at 8 months because she changed her mind.

That's why I was hoping ChicagoKid was going to elaborate on his views as, whilst I'm pro abortion, I think there are some very interesting moral and scientific questions about how life is defined.

And that's all that males should have to comprehend in order to stay the hell out of it.

I don't think being male should mean you're not allowed to engage in discussions about this topic, but I think it should be accepted that your opinion won't hold weight and that you aren't in a position to push views onto others to whom the discussion is more relevant.

I would also add that if a man wants his baby to be born,he also has some right to discuss it... that's not only up to woman to decide

Assuming consensual conception, I still think it's ultimately the woman's final decision to make.

It is only for the person whose body it is to decide.
Anyone else may have opinion but the weight of that opinion should only be on the person who is pregnant who is the decision maker.
No one would be ok with a woman terminating a pregnancy at 8 months because she changed her mind.
Medically what is easiest at that point? That's the only determining factor, at 8 months I'm betting cesarian section/adoption is actually the best option.
Its more 6/7 months where I'd agree its complex but I don't question a person reasonings to wanting to terminate a pregnancy only because it feels like I'm policing someone else's mental health.
