USA news & politics

Anyone believe this?

100% beleivable, you saw them all come running to slurp at the teet earlier in the year, you saw Carneys campaign promises to be tough on Trump, only to U turn anf seek his approval:

"We are over the shock of the American betrayal … They want our land. They want our resources. They want our water. They want our country."

To

"Hes a transformational president, we're stronger when we work together."

Lol.

WEnt from House Republicans in the headline, downgraded to New York Young Republican group, with the source 'trust me bro' hahaha

My favourite part "It's the same provision Colorado used to try to kick Trump off the ballot last year" hahha

World class journalism!

Of course they are.
If they have the guts, then it'd be step 2 of the actual war against elective democracy (after Adelita Grijalva)

Who would be disgusting enough to try to invoke section 3 of the 14th amendment, and where would this Young Republicans of New York group get the idea? Hahahaha

I take it, as usual, you didn't actually read the article

If so you might have read such things as

"Rep. Randy Fine (R-Fla.) accuses Mamdani of having lied on his citizenship form

Rep. Andy Ogles (R-Tenn.) has goosed is own earlier campaign

Proponents would like to see a congressional vote on declaring Mamdani ineligible

Meanwhile, House Republicans are doubling down on their effort to push the Justice Department to probe Mamdani’s path to citizenship.

Republican lawmakers are keyed in
"

The very definition of house republicans.

Why do you never read things properly?
Or do you just want to make things up to argue?

Either is pathetic

Oh mate this is sad, why did you maliciously leave out the link paragraph from the original story, to the pivot of Mamdanis citizenship?

"

I used to give you credit as just being dense, but it appears you are way more malicious in trying to ensure this plays stays an echo chamber with your constant barage of biased articles, i implore you to be more honest, your not helping the cause you think you are.

But ill give you the benefit once again, which house Republican has made comments of using section 3 of the 14th against Mamdani? Or any other evidence outside of the NYYR memo, and 'sources' ?

Ill wait...

Is Trump aware there is a government shutdown? He got the military paid using illegal means (shifting allocated funds from somewhere else) but, without funding, how does he hope to keep the US military operating for much longer? It's not just frontline soldiers, it's the vast amount of support and logistics which will grind to a halt without funding. Many people across the government have now missed 1 paycheck, will they be keen on continuing to work for nothing?

Like I said you don't read, it's been posted here a few times before.

Can't find the post now, but I called this - I just expected it to be next year's mid-terms. Though I guess it fits the pattern of trying at a lower level to "normalise" an outrage before going all-in

You haven't provided any quotes you make statements without any citations.

Want more? It's easily available but you are lazy

Too quote you "I honestly think we need the nights / weekends off from the internet, a restriction on mobile phones, and certainly no social media, but christ im an orwellian hypocrit!"

Please take your own advice

Right wing types are going to talk about the pre-1956 presidents who ran for a third term (fun fact: only 1 pulled it off) to try and normalise it

BBC News - Trump backs Cuomo for New York City mayor and threatens to cut funding if Mamdani wins

Trump threatening to cut funding to New York if a candidate he doesn't want wins. There's no subtlety, Trump and Republicans are openly advertising their illegally.

IF Trump wasnt so unapologetically a New Yorker, i think leaving this race alone, and allowing Mamdani to win would have been the play.

Mamdanis promises cant come to fruition, let him try and fail and use him as a stick against the Democrats proper.

Its fascinating that both Adams and Cuomo were courting the GOP vote and Trumps unofficial help, even Democrats are distancing themselves from Mamdani recently, he has them all rocked.
