Tried a few more hours of Mad Max and the game just doesn't feel like it goes anywhere, it's just one long grind and the rewards for all that grind don't feel rewarding at all.

Bit like how I feel about Spider-man 2 at the moment. It's good but has that Ubisoft check list feel to it.

Going onto Star-Wars Outlaws next so only got myself to blame.

I'm really liking SM2 haha, though annoyed to see one of the trophies is complete the game in New Game +, really hate when that's the one that stops you from getting platinum - I'll have just finished the game, I don't wanna go right back in and play it again

Was actually thinking about going to SW Outlaws next too - though, based on the reviews, I'm probably not gonna actually buy it and will wait until it comes up for free on either EA or PS+ subscriptions

Might go for Warhammer Spacemarine 2 next - or I've been meaning to play the modern Tomb Raiders (or even the remasters of the original trilogy - which are free on PS+)

Turns out this is in its own category, so I have just platinumed it

Very fun game, looking forward to the Wolverine game now - this studio has definitely hit the mark on Marvel games

Also didn't realise Outlaws is on PS+ so might actually download that next

COD: Modern Warfare 3 (the reboot not OG) - free on PS+ atm

Not a fan of COD multiplayer these days but really like the campaigns on the reboots - had heard this one was bad mainly because they'd switched emphasis from single player back to multiplayer/zombies (despite the huge success of MW and MW2)

Good campaign tbf - not enough that it's worth £50+ buying it new (I won't be buying MW4) but definitely worth a play through if you've got the itch for a modern day setting FPS - it's a lot better than the new Battlefield's campaign
I like that they throw in a few different "minigames" as well - CCTV surveillance, bomb defusal etc.

Anyone playing Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced?

Debating getting it, but is it significantly better than the original and worth the difference in price.

The correct way of doing COD games is to play the campaigns, then uninstall it lol.

Not yet but definitely going to soon - probably my favourite AC game and I've heard nothing but good things about the remake

Literally what I just did, haha - trophy for campaign completed popped and I immediately uninstalled
The file size of the game is insane, I had to uninstall three other games to fit it on my harddrive

Yeah, they are big. The campaigns are fun, but the rest of it is pointless imo. They are all the same

Have been trialling my first of the Assassin's Creed games - currently on Valhalla.

Early thoughts are that the Graphics are great, the story seems good, but I'm not so sure on the gameplay. The combat mechanisms, etc seem very basic?.... Maybe hampered by the fact I came from Kingdom Come, but yeah, I'm not so sure about it so far.

Has anyone else got into the Creed games? And what's your thoughts on them. Early thoughts is it just seems basic more than anything

Never played Valhalla and only completed up to black flag.

In terms of how engaged I was with the story, the ezio storyline (2, brotherhood, revelations) were the best imo. In terms of gameplay, black flag. Best villain, 3. I was working my way through them but lost interest by unity. Might pick it up again some time.

The out of animus missions are always crap and I try to get through them as fast as possible.

I have played a fair chunk of them:
1, all the Ezio games, Black Flag, Origins, Odyssey and Valhalla

I did intend on playing all the others but I started AC3 and gave up maybe 25% of the way through, just didn't grip me

It is one of my favourite game series, though, so do intend on playing (or at least attempting - not gonna force myself to play bad games in the name of saying I've done the lot) all of the others at some point - them all being on Ubisoft+ helps

Issue i have with the AC games is they are very Ubisoft.

I enjoyed Odyssey but burnt out on in, found it was a tad wannabee Witcher 3

Currently doing Demon's Souls, before trying Dark Souls 3 again, this time without wanting to break my controller.

Final thirds can definitely drag, and they love big open world for the sake of big open world, a lot of copy/pasted locations/missions etc.

I can definitely see why a lot of people get turned off of them, but

Two of my friends are and both enjoying. One wants more stealth (this wasn't the main way of playing OG AC4:BF either) but the other prefers the combat update. Obviously there's a lot that's very familiar if you played the original but it's a good remaster, as they go.

As a primarily Westcountry and Welshman, the ******* accent on Hornigold is still bad. The Scottish VA who did Thatch is way better. Luckily Kenway is also good. At least it wasn't as offensive as many RPGs and the like who stereotype these cultures into the dumbest creatures you have ever interacted with in video gaming. It's nice being "seen" instead of a punching bag and/or gag.

As for Mackerz, there are two different types of AC. The more traditional ones and the RPG-lite variants.

The old ones I'd rank from best to worst; Black Flag > AC1 > AC2 > the rest >>>> AC3.

The RPG-lite ones; Odyssey, Origins (YMMV here, both good) and then Valhalla but I haven't played the latter in it's entirety.

I have missed some such as Syndicate and Unity because I haven't played them. I plan on doing AC4 Resynced when it hits Uni play or deeper sale. Currently distracted by Forza Horizon 6 and a Blasphemous play through.

Yeah idk about it. Have only done about 4hours so far, but its not gripping me at all. I'm highly inclined to uninstall it and install KCD2 or Bannerlords atm
