What TV Show's are you watching/looking forward to?

Would you rate GK above Das boot? Band of Brothers?
And i'm leaving out stuff like Rome (too ancient?) or Generation War (more war than military related).
D,P. the korean one, is military (not war) related and it's pretty dam good, too.

I really enjoyed GK when I watched it, but wouldn't put it on a level with Band of Brothers
Need to rewatch it, been about a decade since I've seen it - same goes for Rome, actually, loved that

I only watched Band of Brothers recently. It's very good but I couldn't watch more than one and maybe another half episode in a row. There's only so much shouting and gunfire I can tolerate.

Definitely going to give it a rewatch now that I have a vague handle on who some of the characters are

If you want to watch a new show, as opposed to rewatching BoB, we could put my superpower to the test: 5 questions (to help me guide the answer accordingly) and i guarantee i can recommend a show you havent watched AND that you will like. Two caveats tho: doesn't work if you cant tolerate subtitles (English speaking ones limit my answers) and i cant help you finding where to watch the show. I mean netflix, hbo, etc. I cant/don't recall that.
0% failure rate so far.

Watched the entirety of Video Nasty on a plane today. It’s a BBC/RTE joint production and actually very decent. Have to assume we have the Beeb to thank for it actually being decent. Nice concise horror comedy story, not too heavy. Some half assed attempts at covering racism, anti-Irish sentiment, homosexuality, but it’s mostly about satanic panic.

Also started watching Small Town, Big Story’s, another largely Irish show I think by Sky, which Chris O’Dowd is heavily involved in. Very interesting concept, quite funny and well acted, but not sure where it’s going or if they can stick the landing.

S2 was the weakest so far. The whole "you don't mess with the special investigators" made me want to curl up in a ball.
If I remember rightly, that phrase was their unit motto when they were in the army. I don't think it's particularly well explained in the TV series.

The constant motto quoting seems to be a peculiarity of the Americans.

Good reviews for the King of the Hill revival have me wondering what could've been if The Simpsons ended 500 seasons ago and came back now with the characters aged up.
