I'm glad the other one has passed our abortion laws need work but there is doubt fringe groups were trying to weaponise it.

I think you need to work in complex project planning....

The main issues are
a) Not accepting the real cost of a program
b) Not having clear set requirements at the start and changing them
c) Not accepting the level a complexity of modern systems

The idea people are feckless is something all generations having been moaning about and is frankly lazy and stupid thinking in of itself.



I'm working on a program currently and people are asking why we can't do it in less hours than when they did it 15 years ago. The answer is simple they cut corner and lied in a several places and whilst you might have got away with it 15 years ago you don't anymore. so the project is paying not only to solve its own problems but fixing problem 15 years existing but people turned a blind eye to it.

Couldn’t agree more, I work in infrastructure construction and you’ve pretty much nailed it.

I've already discussed this about council's. I do work on projects big and small and I said before they even broke ground HS2 will never reach the north. They're incredibly predictable. Too many people with their hands in the till and too many dancing around what needs doing. Stop defending stupidity.

Agreed - in principle, I agree with the amendment, but I'm finding it really tough to find a decent summary of what it actually means; and there's a tonne of disinformation out there.

I've already discussed this about council's. I do work on projects big and small and I said before they even broke ground HS2 will never reach the north. They're incredibly predictable. Too many people with their hands in the till and too many dancing around what needs doing. Stop defending stupidity.

Okay well my experience running multi-million dollar highly technical project's is entirely diffrent to yours. But my perspective is you're part of the problem as you refuse to accept reality, think people are screwing you and then wonder why what they initially told you became reality and then think its because they screwed you.

You can be prosecuted for assisting in one though.

That's okay. Judging by your posts, you've done everything and know everything and can't possibly be wrong. Sounds like you're that far up, you can't look down at the detail and see the problems

Apparently, according to the missus (midwife) andni havnt researched this, but this only effects around 3 to 10 people per year, and only 3 mothers per year on average.

Of those, due to the physical, but mostly mental state of the mother, prosecution is near impossible, and most women need intervention.

Makes sense, if 3 women per year are doing this, and they are in absolute crisis, how is the threat of criminalsation going to deter their actions?

Everyone else involved can still be charged though

I’m sorry, but I disagree. This just feels like a wide generalisation. Yes there are some people out of their depth on projects, yes there are some bums on seats that aren’t good enough for the role, but this isn’t the majority. Major projects encounter so many unknown variables.

I won’t go into detail as it will be an essay.
